For me, you gotta go with a body with a neck because of the low neck lines.

I would think one of the HT narrow shoulder bodies with the neck would be ideal, but they're hard to come by not to mention expensive.

You can go the cheap route and get a TTL.

Some people don't like them but I've used them a bunch and never had any serious complaints.

Something like this may work for Luke. I heard they're shorter than other bodies.

There are really no words for that Chewbacca except that it is truly stunning. Such a gorgeous custom... and there is no way any commercial offering could ever come close to that!

I'll be starting my chewie in june or july i have to get body adjusted and when it comes back from surgery lol I will be applying hair to his skin. Chewie will probably take a month to do.

Just getting back into Star Wars - loved it as a kid, not so much as an adult. But now...

How hard is it to find these figures? Impossible...? Honestly, I'd be happy with just Luke's head. I really want that sculpt. If anyone has the Luke figure for sale, let me know!

Thus is a nice set. I have proudly displayed this set since I picked it up at SDCC but I think it's time to pass it along and make room for other things. So I'm selling it off.

anyone has side by side Old Sideshow Vs Hot Toys disguise set? youtube has only 1 video but not much to see since the hot toys was a modded one.

the price of the sideshow set really tanked like $150 i wonder if with todays parts we can give them an upgrade cheap? luke probably an issue since he has standard height armors.

Sideshow’s version of the stormtrooper is a chunky mess. If you have a Solo and Luke headsculpt available I guess you could stick em onto the SSC body. Not sure though. For Luke I would replace the body with a Truetype or pichen.

I’m DIY handicapped so would be too much of a hassle to perform all of this to make an ugly set look alright. Furthermore, you will never get the same HT quality with SSC, no matter what you do.

oh i mean the disguise set that came with both heads. the helmets also have details like the hot toys set (the old ht doesnt have details) but not sure both sets of helmets can be worn due to the interior details.

ANH Luke and Han in disguise both have helmets with intricate details. Amazing pieces. Non-attachable to the head, instead a soft plastic-foam peg is used.
