i wonder if mikey was given a flat face and lips because he will make out with April

Im just really not a fan of the new look. I have no interest in seeing the movie, which is sad considering I was a huge childhood fan of the franchise.

Im just gonna wait to see more before i make final judgements but right now im really optimistic. Theres a part of me that wants this movie to be good soley becuase its turtles and another side that says screw this movie and wait til it gets rebooted again.

It's a shame that every time he said he didn't like it or something didn't work for him that he had to throw in that whole "but it could work" line. It would have been great if he just came out and said it looked like the crap that it really is.

I respect his attitude, very mature.
And I don't think he knows what Michael Bay is for the cinema :lol

It COULD work but not like this, not with Pecks-man.

If they kept woodburns voice for splinter, I would probably piss my pants laughing everytime he went to talk and it sounded like he just huffed some helium.

i find this comment someone wrote about the interview interesting:

The Ninja Turtles have done nothing but change since Eastman and Laird created them.

They went from a b&w indie styled ultra-violent Daredevil parody to a bright valley-boy-heavy children's cartoon, and only continued to change from there.

While I'm not a fan of the new look either, he's crying over spilled milk, changing the Ninja Turtles isn't new.

Well yea sure but idw didnt drastically change the look. its true they do change all the time but Its never anything big and when it is somthing big like say Next mutation where they werent brothers and had a girl turtle with them thats when things start to get weird. The 80s toon is the best thing that ever happened to the turtles and most well known cartoon of the 80s. Thats what people know.

Im not surprised at all by all these freakouts becuase they look different from what we used to know. Make a gritty comic book a lighthearted cartoon, yea thats cool but slap a pair a pants on a well known childhood icon thats going alittle to far lol

I don't have a problem with them recasting the voices because the guys in suit are just doing performance capture. Although it probably would have been nice to tell them up front. I'm sure it's a bummer for them especially if it's a more recognizable celebrity voice. It's like they run around in those mo-cap suits for a couple of months, and then the A-list celeb goes into the recording studio for a couple of days, enjoys a nice latte, and probably pulls down as much or more (depending on the voice talent) as the actors who did the heavy lifting performance capture. And when the flick comes out the voicing celeb gets the recognition and accolades and is the one signing autographs and walking the red carpet. As someone pointed out earlier, most people associate Vader with James Earl Jones. It's like Shrek (Michael Myers), Donkey (Eddie Murphy), Genie (Robin Williams), etc.

I think the teaser posters look pretty cool. Quite nicely done. While they might be an abomination to many of the fans who grew up on Turtles, I think kids are gonna eat this movie up.
