I hope Vegeta gets rereleased as a normal release. SDCC exclusives annoy me for having to spend more for something that I'm not able to get because i'm nowhere near it.

They need to make Shenron & Nappa SDCC exclusives; sure they'll be expensive but this entire line is expensive & will continue to be expensive, so it is what it is.

Vegeta cant be rereleased normally, thats the whole point sephiroth; as an sdcc release they can slightly change the colours and make a special version of him.

They cant rerelease him normally as Vegeta onwards is a web exclusive in japan.

Well that's really annoying. Why does it matter if something was web exclusive in japan? Is it because blue fin imports them or something?

Exactly; bluefin has a special arrangement with tamashii in regards to dbz. America gets them as limited regular releases while japan has them as exclusive web order items, because of that they arent seen as regular releases anywhere so cant be rereleased, pretty much to stop collectors from whining about their precious exclusive not being as sought after due to a second release.

Thats seems like an incredibly silly beareucratic BS thing that Bluefin Tamashii would have to go throw just to rerelease the figure. I am all for a slightly modified and repainted SS vegeta though as it will differentiate it from those damn bootlegs flooding the market

Its not that they are debating it, they are looking for loopholes to allow rereleases to happen. Its the same issues thats happening with the gokaiger figuarts (power rangers smf); they want to release them in America but two issues arose, the first being that they all came with bonus parts which would need to be removed, the second that the two female figures were web exclusives, which means they have to change something about the figure or box to allow it.

I feel like they should sculpt new boot tip pieces on SSJ Vegeta to be armored and change the box color and sell that because technically it's classified as a new figure because it has new molding and a different box, and that allows them to put SSJ Vegeta back out with out changing the entire thing

Im with u altho a mild change that would make it ok for con ex. Doubt they'll sculpt the oot tips but just repaint them in "armor" style

Repaints of the Scouter Vegeta faces and yellow tip boots would be great. If they did minor sculpting on the feet or made him more veiny, it wouldn't be a waste, because they can just re use it for Majin Vegeta.
