Looks great! I just did mine tonight as well and I put back the stock cape.

It looks perfect with a wired cape as well :)

Very nice work, yours is my favorite so far

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

so I finally finished my neck mod. I decided to re attach the stock cape., and will be running some wire through it tomorrow. Even though with the neck mod the stock cape sits much lower, but it still doesn't sit as nice as tony's so the change doesn't look that dramatic in my opinion. The stock cape is just too bulky. ill be keeping it if the wire makes it look nice when I test it out tomorrow.

current mods
Neck/collar mod
repainted pipes on body
repainted gauntlets
repainted cape collar.
Dyed cape to match boots and emblem.

Looks sharp! Great job on the mods! I love how light reflects off of the piping. For the stock cape, did you try folding the pleated edges to match collar frame size on the front shoulders? It might sit lower and show off more of the neck and shoulder. Just have the larger folded side sit on top.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I'm much too lazy to run wire thru the cape, so I just wrapped some wire around the flexible stand & draped the cape on it:

Strangely interestingly cool is how you've made the cape look like plastic.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

All this painting of the collar, suit details and gauntlets looks awful. I am yet to see one where it actually improves or betters the figure. It often looks amateurish and cheapens the appearance. When painting on a figure is done well then I'm all for it but the ones I've seen recently are pretty poor.

I really love this one as well, painting the plastic pieces blue really makes it look awesome!

I have to agree. Other than the collar mod which, i will agree makes the figure looks a LOT better in terms of accuracy, all this painting going on just seems to be detracting from the figure.
Superman sweating? Superman can't sweat.
More power to you Clipper but when you come to sell this one, it might not be worth what you paid for it.

Yup. The collar mod I get and I think it really improves the figure - even with the stock cape the figure looks better. I like the wire in the lining too.
Why are people painting the S symbol black?

Painting? No.
Sweating? Double no.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Jam2315 I like the blue paint I think it came out great buddy , I also know this is all just opinions and I loved the figure straight out the box too and I know the slight mods wont be to everyones taste but im happy with how it turned out and now takes pride of place in my collection . and also im not too bothered if it loses value coz I don't think ill sell this one and a few people have already asked if they can pay for me to do theres . all feedback is welcome :O)
