I agree with you 110% Alex. As far as starting the line off...I GUARANTEE if SS started the line with something like Isildur VS Sauron, Smeagol VS Deagol, or even the Fell Beast VS Eagle it would of generated alot of buzz. Look how much buzz the FB VS Eagle got from SDCC with not even showing pictures or putting up pre-orders for it....Why? Because its something new and different....

Right those moments would have done well because they're impactful moments on the story. It did create a lot of buzz duing SDCC BUT how much buzz has lasted since it was announced. I don't see that much discussion about it now. Not that it isn't gonna be an amazing piece but dont play it up as something that we're all talking about in post after post.

I don't see too many people posting in the Aragorn VS Uruk-Hai thread, yea, a few people got it, and it may be sold out. But, I think if I got on the wait list it would convert pretty quickly. It wasn't that big of a hit in my opinion...

Again, I don't see too many going nuts in this thread till the discussion got started on when we might see this. The Aragorn piece has been out for a couple weeks and pretty much like anything else the tide has slowed. That and LOTR isn't exactly setting the world on fire as far as product talk. Its easy to say it wasn't a big hit when you don't have it now isn't it? I've got it and honestly its as impressive as most of the SSW pieces I've owned.

If they stopped all of these lines: 12", P.F., dios, LS busts, etc. and announced they were returning to doing pieces with Weta and got the poly line going again, it would be bigger hit then all of those other lines combined.

I don't think. Not now anyways. We would be happy but for folks outside the hardcore fans they need a movie or something to get them interested I think. We strong few are whats left.

I would have said it was a awesome piece which it looks like it will be, but I think you should start off lines with someone important like Frodo, Aragorn, OR someone who was REALLY in demand like Lurtz. There was no HUGE demand for an Eagle vs Fell Beast when this first started.

So your assessment would be TOTALLY wrong. Nice try though.

Yeah, but I've had those for a long time. Its not like I ordered them, cancled, then sold them right after getting them. Selling stuff off after having it for a while is a touch different.

A 8 inch Orthanc with couple of ents could work, don't you think? Eaglemoss made a Orthanc chess piece which was about 2 inches tall - and the details where pretty good

I think I remember people saying that it was gonna be around a foot long length wise but I am not sure. If this is goingt to be done in 1/9th scale it is gonna be huge.
