I will tell you what is expensive, a pair of DX02 boots that I saw going for £70.00 on eBay recently :horror, this set comes with boots, so it cant be that bad a deal after all. :exactly::lol

I completely agree!... All i am saying is how can people not have a right to say if its expensive or no. I dont see anyone can request, command or ask people to not complain. I think some of the complains help things to be in check... Sooner or later people will walk out from atrocious pricing (some point in time) i think hot toys is still figuring that threshold. Like you rightly said its not easy for most to spend 250, there are people spending 1200 on customs so somewhere hot toys will have to balance their pricing and to be honest so far they are selling good amount of numbers. So... We must understand that people will complain as they can may be afford it but dont want to spend that much but will stretch and do it anyway?

People complain of gas bills but do fill the cars up, complain of health care but do go to a doctor. And like you rightly said this hobby while is "luxury" somehow is an addiction ;) ...

Lastly - just cause one can afford does nor mean they shld just let their pockets out. One can always feel the heartache while spending these $$ and express the same?

I'm not disagreeing with you about anyone having the right to say anything. In my opinion though, it is somewhat silly to complain about the price of a luxury item.

Lol... Well said, in fact its very well priced if its anywhere near 600. I will be all over it at that price!

That's what I initially thought. But it looks like the batsuit can be used as a stand alone figure, which is as good as the DX12.
Please can someone correct me if I'm wrong, because I am also thinking of selling my DX12 before the price plummets.

You must be new to the game.
After collecting for a while, you start to develop that sense of joy in displaying two configurations of one figure at the same time.

It's also known as Hot Toys addiction. :lecture :lol

It's up to how you want to display your figures. You can either have:

1) Keep your DX12 and display it in a pose while the suit from this bundle remains inside the armory.

2) Sell your DX12 and use the suit inside the armory as a Batman figure. However in doing so you can only have either the suit inside the armory or out if it instead of having both at the same time.

I for one will probably keep my DX12 and pose it another shelf with the DX11 while this bundle is displayed together. The armory seems kinda odd to me without the suit inside of it. It's just up to how you want to display everything.
I prefer your 3rd option, which is to keep the DX12 and display it with my DX11 Joker in the interrogation scene.:clap

Let the silly ones complain...:) Dont get so much heart ache man. I think if hot toys reads these at least they know they will lose some strata if they keep pushing the prices up... (Bound to happen) but anyways, i think the complains in any business are always the real feedback that any corporate can take and work towards.

As a business head i can safely say that, any business that does not have the luxury to get feedback, complains, checks and balances directly from customers will eventually become irrelevant.

I think hot toys has that luxury through these forums and so do other artists. More importantly for fellow collectors its also imp to express what they think is expensive and what is not. For someone 2k may be ok and worth something and for some others even if they can afford it, it would just be silly... So let each be their own is all i am saying and let complains and appreciations be equally respected.

I have the Toys legend version. It appears as if they thickened the bottom base by a bit... This could affect if it fits in a detolf height wise.

If you read the specs on the first page, it says that the armory is approximately 37 cms tall/ That's about 14.5 inches, and a standard detolf shelf is 15".

I've been doing a lot of thinking (damn you, HT! LOL), and I might end up getting MMS234 at around $370, and do option #1 as you have said. I never really cared for an Alfred figure (hence my never bothering to kitbash one), and I'm fine having my kitbashed Wayne using the DX12 head. I could use the $250 difference from the full set for Iron Whiplash which HT should give us before this year ends.

I doubt they'll leave it on at SB.

Ok. May be it was posted before i missed it. So there are multiple lights. I asked as i was wondering if they have some sort of a spot light that falls on the bat suite, that would be kool but may not be true to the movie. Or may not be even possible. But looks good the way it is as well.

Thanks for sharing the pic.

No DX02 boots on the bay now so I guess so :dunno

May be that seller just got them off... Lol... But shells, you using the word expensive and £70 in one line. Hmmm... Just kidding man. I agree £70 is quite some for the boots! ...

Some people put atrocious pricing on ebay. I saw someone post a godfather hot toys for 5999 or something a while ago. Another smart head topped it with 7000. I mean, i really need to switch the lights in my house, wait for it to be pitch dark in the night, struggle my way to the corner of my closet, have a pre planned axe kept there and start kicking till i bleed to death... And yes somewhere in all of this i might want to click the "buy it now" button on ebay.

But for every smart seller there is an equally smart buyer i guess!

Hot Toys TDK rears its head up to Hot Toys IRON MAN and says "Hi! I'm still here!" :wave :wave :wave

Decent looking set. It has long since been rumored and it's a great "package" deal for the fans that have missed out on some of the TDK stuff of the past. If the price is true ($490-$500), then that's a pretty good deal.

I've read some of the complaints and there's going to be opposing viewpoints from all perspectives. The reality is this: the Hot Toys 1/6 collecting market is an EXPENSIVE hobby and it will ALWAYS be (until Hot Toys gets a REALISTIC competitor). I've collected Hot Toys since they first appear on the Western radar, I've sold my collection, I've rebuilt it since then. I've seen prices go progressively up but so has quality. Get what you want AND ENJOY! This isn't a race, and you're selfish if you believe something shouldn't be done because YOU don't want it (for prices, whatever). Because what YOU DON'T WANT, might be something SOMEONE WAS WAITING FOR. As long as people are buying, there will always be a market!

Hot Toys is smart for doing this, as a business, they might as well utilize the resources they have to the fullest as long as they can make money. The Dark Knight franchise still has a huge fanbase and still continues to sell well so they will continue to make items for it until the customers tell them otherwise (by NOT buying).

I actually think Hot Toys should redo Two-Face, probably release a "suit & tie" traditional Commissioner Gordon, and if they can get the likeness issue squared away...how about a Liam Neeson Ra's Al-Ghul? That's probably the "most wanted" figure from the TDK line.

^^^ good morning!

this infact is the most well priced release from hot toys i have ever seen. It is total VFM... If u ask me...

if you look closely hot toys clearly used the toys legend Dark Knight armory for their prototype. :horror

Don't really think so, there are several differences in the construction, wonder if Hot Toys' will have the batteries in the top, too though.

But I understand that it seems like that in the first place, as Toys Legend's is pretty accurate, too so it's no surprise they're pretty similar.
Biggest difference are the more accurate front doors on Hot Toys' though:

(...)

And they got the doors right! :yess:
