Re: RobertoBagg10's Display Thread *CUSTOM IRON MAN MKI LSF INHAND PICS...AT LAST!!!!

As requested, here are some pics of the portrait Stark face when the helmet is lifted...I have to honestly say that I was a little apprehensive at first of the likeness when I was first shown the pics on previous MKI's that i'd seen on facebook but once I received this inhand and saw the face with my own eyes I think its a really good attempt for a custom job. To be honest, I didn't really rate the Sideshow EX portrait on their MKI 1/4 Maquette so I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised :)

Really happy that the mark1 arrived in perfect condition. It looks simply majestic and the likeness of RDJ is really good. I don't think it's possible for your collection to get any better as you seem to be getting a new piece every week and each one is just as good as the next. What an earth can you come up with next? Dare I say...ha! :panic:

RobertoBagg10's Display Thread *MY NEW CUSTOM IRON MAN MKVI 1:1 LIFESIZE BUST*

Next up guys is a progress report on my new custom piece which is the Iron Man MKVI 1:1 Lifesize Bust, this piece was introduced to me by Averone. After spotting it in his collection I just knew I had to have it! So thanks Alex :hi5:

So this piece has taken a full month to complete by a talented sculptor in Thailand and in fact was shipped only yesterday so I hope to receive it next week!

The custom MKVI Lifesize Bust comes with full working light up features for the eyes and the triangular Arc Reactor and what I love most about it is the fact that

a) its one of my favourite armours in the Iron Man Movies and I get to now have this in 1:1 scale aswell as Sideshows upcoming 1:2 scale legendary Scale bust

b) I get to at last find a display companion to go with my War Machine 1:1 Bust to complete my Iron Man 2 line up :yess:

c) I like the fact that the bust includes the arc reactor and the majority of the torso unlike the Sideshow MKII and MKIII which just cuts off at the shoulder. Hence why i'm looking forward to Sideshows upcoming MKVII 1:1 Bust as that also includes the arc reactor and a lot more of the torso

So here are some early pics that I received from the sculptor in Thailand throughout the progression of the build...sorry for the poor quality

It really is incredible to see how a piece starts out and how it looks when complete. So from the progression pics to my completed MKVI Bust...i'm sure you'll agree that it looks absolutely stunning and I cant wait to get it home to add to my collection. The paint work looks great and the light up features, which are powered by 3AAA batteries, just completes such an epic custom piece

It is a tiny shame that I cant continue the same themed base as all my other Sideshow ones but hey ho...:(

Thanks for looking guys and i'll be back for another update shortly :wave

Re: RobertoBagg10's Display Thread *MY NEW CUSTOM IRON MAN MKVI 1:1 LIFESIZE BUST*

That's a superb bust, the colors are better than the sideshow ones. the only thing i don't like is the base but that's changeable i guess.
really like the bust though.

Wow! The custom one looks more accurate than sideshows! :clap

Thanks Steve, do you think so? Maybe cos there's more of the bust on the custom as opposed to the sideshow one which is just cut off at the shoulders...:dunno

Thanks Wei :clap I love the colours! In my experience of customising various Iron Man products recently and in the past, I can honestly say that finding the right colours for specific armours is so difficult! :lecture This custom one just has the right balance I think with a nice gloss finish to boot

Ha! Thanks Alex, still a way to go yet. As mentioned a few posts ago, we've still got the MKVII 1:1 Bust and MKVI 1:2 bust from Sideshow arriving hopefully next month plus the big daddy that is the MKVII LSF in July :yess:

As for where i'm going to display it all.....:panic::panic: haven't got a clue pal but where there is a will there's a way! Any chance you'll be renting out one of your rooms in the west wing? :lol

I actually received my two glass display cases for my MKII and MKIII busts!! :rock Here are a few quick snaps

Congratulations again my friend, awesome as usual

Re: RobertoBagg10's Display Thread *MY NEW CUSTOM IRON MAN MKVI 1:1 LIFESIZE BUST*

Great stuff man! Yeah, it's a shame that SSC's first IM movie 1:1 busts don't have the reactor. To me it's like making a 1:1 forearm+fist of Wolverine without his claws.

I wish I could visit your home so I could drool over your collection, buddy!

Re: RobertoBagg10's Display Thread *MY NEW CUSTOM IRON MAN MKVI 1:1 LIFESIZE BUST*

Hey, man -- are those glass, not acrylic? Aren't they heavy? I plan to make one like that for the 1:1 1989 Batman Cowl Replica I ordered. Would have wanted acrylic instead but it's too pricey.

Epic display btw, my friend!
