HOOOOOOORAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!
:blissy

Can't wait to see what the artisans at HT do with my best guy. I'm hoping he'll be a work on par with the rest of the line thus far (though it would be tough to top your crafting skills, Darren!) Hopefully they'll do a limited edition version of him in his Flying Dutchman get up from the close of AWE --complete with chest scars, naturally.

Anyway, if everyone would take a peek at the "mystery banner" that silhouette looks an awful lot like a certain tentacled menace to me...

Will they be showing both figures at the end of the month or just Will?
If JOnes is the mystery figure I will be able to die happy.:D

The mystery figure could also be Barbossa, without actually seeing tentacles their silhouettes are similar, Barbossa has a pretty big hat on him. Either way though, Barbossa or Jones will be just fine and I'm confident it's one of the two, and either way, I'll have a villain to display Jack in combat with. Man, now I'm even more anxious for the DVD release of AWE.

Ya I would settle for Barbosa to. I can't wait for the DVD!!!!:chew

Its definitely Jones, the shadow outline matches the cutout posted above. I hope we get a limited edition human Davy Jones release as well!!

Really? Weak? I liked him better in POTC2 than in 3 but I still liked him. Regardless I'd love a Barbosa too. He really should have been made long before Feng.

Yeah, for some reason I just didn't like him. I don't know if it was because he was all CGI that he lacked depth or if he was just lame. I didn't really find him entertaining or rewarding to watch, unlike Barbossa who was such an awesome villain in the first movie and a great co-star in the third.

All in all, I would still buy a Jones figure...even though his character is weak. Anything Pirates :rock :lol

P.S. I also didn't care for the voice of Jones. It was a bit overboard and made his character even less real for me.

Wow! I really have to respectfully disagree. I found Jones a riveting character any time he was on screen, and one of the best, if not THE best, CGI characters done so far. His facial expressions seemed seamless to me and carried a lot of sublety.

But hey, I like monsters. :) I can see where he may have seemed too cartoony for some.

I can see how people liked him but honestly, I found Gollum more realistic and easier to watch. I really wish they had gone with a different villain in the third Pirates movie. Jones got old to me fast.

Jones was definitely less interesting in POTC 3. I was a little disappointed with him -- even his CGI seemed "rushed" compared to 2. But all said and done, he'd make a fantastci 1/6th figure for sure!!!

Gollum was excellent. Less realistic looking to me (that's to me) but he really made TTT for me.
