^^^ Your right, it is a little gain but damn Doom is expensive lol.

Its rare when you get a sought after piece for retail. Most of us here on this forum sell them for a gain, part of the game.

If it wasnt part of the game, it would be a hard game to play for very long :lol

This may in fact be my favorite post in the whole thread. Really sums up how everyone felt until it sold out.

i really think you guys should wait to see the inhand photos before ordering, what's the hurry? this thing will be on sale for years. And almost guaranteed to lose 10-20% value in the after market after release. Why give sideshow $400 now...

I will probably get this down the road at a discount off ebay or something, but honestly after this fiasco, my desire for this statue has gone down significantly.

I actually want the predator maquette more now, but afraid ss will release another version right after i paid $1500-2000 for it.

cant win with predators... :slap

So for those that have it already, is it even be possible to cut off the leg netting? I'm one of the people who plan on keeping this one forever and it's the only change I plan on making on mine but only if it isn't too much of a pain in the butt.

No you can't. The netting on the back of his leg kinda fused in somehow. Like SS used it to covered up something. Dunno. This made it impossible to cut off properly, unless you don't mind him having small netting yanking out of his legs.
But I don't mind it much. It made him looks better IMO.

Pointless posting old quotes to make people look silly :nono

No one was to know there would end up being a limited run on an OE piece.

As ever... you got there first lol. Psyberiantiger posted that back when this was an incredibly expensive statue with what could have been an unlimited run and I'd have agreed fully at the time, lets not lose sight of just how much money $2k is, hindsight is a wonderful thing, even I'd have jumped in had I known the ES would be so low. SS really don't help us one bit by having runs like that, they should have numbered runs for everything, especially items with a price tag like this even if it means altering the packaging later on due to damages. There is also the possibility that this may be offered again in future remember... I hope for those that are paying insane amounts of money on the secondary market that it isn't.

Umm, correct me if im wrong but dont we do this to CBG all the time? :lol

And I'm definitely not trying to make anyone look silly. Hindsight can be a bugger though.

CBG is different...
He asks for it every time :lol

Quoted for truth! :lol

My Wolf will be here on Monday and i am PRAYING that its not broken. Even though its new and sealed still, i have no way to get a replacement part if that is the case since i wasnt the original buyer

Does SS ever officially confirmed they will reproduct every single open ES items that are addressed as "sold out"?
And there's a chance they would reproduct something that's so detailed, complex, very hard to ship, easily damaged, not worth breakpoint so they need to shutdown the production such as this? If I were SS, I'd rather do Mk3 lsf battle damaged ver instead lol.

I wouldn't pay $2,000, never mind flipper prices.

I remember when this topic was discussed and debated a few hundred pages back, before the Wolf was released. If I recall, I estimated that this should be a $1,200-$1,400 piece tops.

Now that I actually have this in-hand, and able to better gauge it's worth, I still stand by my estimate. This is not a $2,000 piece.

Very true!! Well refunded him back the money he putdown as he was paying in 2 payments but I might have another local member here thats interested.

I would have loved to buy this from a local seller! I'm terrified of opening that box tomorrow after having it shipped UPS.... :gah:

My advice: Make sure you NEVER push or hit the bottom part of the box. That's where his head and the base are located.
Check Xeno's fingers at the base, quills on his face, his dredd. These are areas with high % chance of breakage.
Good luck.
