Noticed CSC has him in stock and listed at $525. :slap So I guess the move by some of these resellers now is to jack the price up on hard to get pieces when they get stock? BBTS and now these guys. You never see AE do this at least.

I'm surprised they'd do that. That is sort of ****ed.

I could see if this was a year old or sold out or something but this new trend (that started with BBTS) of jacking up the price as you get more stock in seems crooked.

MSRP is MSRP for a reason. This new trend of raising the price on an in-stock figure seems to be catching on. Wouldn't surprise me if other retailers follow suit.

Bro I for one am GLAD that you picked up this figure!:yess: If that didn't happen then we wouldn't have the GREAT MODS that you have done! You made my Bats look waay better than what it did!THANX!:clap

Couldn't of said it better if I tried!:hi5:

Yeah,I would worry as well especially since the material isn't that great to begin with!I would've been happier if they went with a similar design like the Enterbay holder!Hey Melo, your English is fine so don't worry bro!:wink1:

Thanks Bro :)

Anyone else have this happen?

Within 30 seconds of me taking it out of the packaging it broke. I was gently closing it and the hinge broke.

I didn't want to mention it until it was sorted by Sideshow. Got the replacement today.

Anyway, be very gentle with that tiny hinge.

Same thing happened to mine. The hinge is just a very thin, fragile plastic loop. Mine broke exactly where yours broke. Happened when I tried to close the drill without fully retracting the drill bit.

I actually found the tiny piece that broke off and just fixed it with a teeny bit of super glue. It looks fine and opens/closes with no issues.

But yeah, for everyone else, make sure you don't try to close the drill if the drill bit isn't fully/entirely retracted, because that WILL break the hinge. And just be gentle as Maglor said, because it's extremely fragile.

I joined the WL on Oct 5 with little hope! Just got my conversion email, he will look great next to EB bat & Joker :D

:goodpost:

Exactly mate, it's bloody crooked.

I take it you like the figure somehow if you decided to keep and mod it instead of selling it?

There's plenty to like about the figure.

I decided to keep it when I saw another member post that he had removed the chest armor to get under the suit. I had been dying to do that, and it put me over the edge. I really do enjoy modifying figures, it's just time consuming and stressful - especially with a figure this expensive.

I'm at the stage right now that I have accepted the fact that I may simply have to take a loss on this figure. Getting into major modification always puts that in the back of your mind, and it's quite freeing once you accept it.

If I take it slow and don't seriously eff things up, I have hope that I could come around to loving this figure.

Your tips for the EB bats helped mine look fantastic.

If you still want to sell your HT bats let me know, I'm sure your mods will only make it look better!

Very good to know. I hope that my end product will look like an improvement to some, and if it's still not good enough to me I will try to sell it modified.

Yeah. I can see that. Totally sucks. That damn thing is so fragile its a travesty. HT made these accessories look incredible and they are made of some strong stuff. But that hinge on that drill thing is way too easy to break. That hinge should have been made of metal somehow. I put mine on the utility belt and left it.

I'm gonna glue my broken one closed, and leave the replacement permanently in the open position.

That's what I did too, but that's also what kinda led to the drill breaking. A little difficult to explain, but let me try anyway.

The drill was partially unfolded while it was still on the figure. Because of gravity, the drill bit had also partially come out. I pushed the drill bit up and tried to close the drill while it was still on the figure/belt. But thing is, it's damn near impossible to fully retract the drill when it's still on the figure since gravity will prevent the drill bit from being completely retracted. I didn't want to pop it off the belt or mess too much with the figure (had it properly futzed :)), so I just pushed a little bit harder to close it and it snapped.

So unless you turn your figure upside down, I would never try to close the drill if it's still attached to the figure. I'd just pop it off the belt, close it properly, and then reattach it to the belt.

Damn, that took a lot of explaining for such a tiny piece of plastic! But hopefully it'll keep everyone from breaking their drill. :thud:

Regular or Exclusive? I joined before that on the Ex but nothing yet...

Yeah, I've been watching BBTS in the hope that they will lower him back to normal price. Nothing yet. Very strange that they charge premiums on some stuff that's selling and normal/discount prices on other stuff. I'm sure some see that as normal business but it's kind of sketchy for a retailer to do that.

I missed him at Midtown too. Waiting to see if a few other places get him at normal prices. Everything is over $500 now.

Mine arrived. Pics dont do justice. In person it is BEAUTIFUL.

Cape sucks though! Can someone tell me where they bought the custom cape from?

Not sure if you live in NY but if you do, Midtown has him.
