Hot Toys – MMS183 The Dark Knight Rises Bane Figure

I had no plans on getting a Bane, but recently changed my mind. Picked up a head from Ebay for $75, which looks to be a pretty good price these days.

Not going for a movie accurate Bane, but going to just make my own. I did also pick up the vest for $40 shipped. The rest I'll just bash.

I also have the Comic Bane custom that I already made.

I have a spare pair of customized Bane boots if you're interested.

havent done the custom boot mod yet--though i have the boots to do it with--but i would say the pants mod is kind of necessary, mike. the HT pants are a bit lame all around IMO: from fit to color to... well, really just about everything except that they have two pant legs. which i dont want to under appreciate the work it took for HT to give Bane two pant legs and not one.

I like the character & flick but I'm not a Bane expert whatsoever. I'm going to skim thru the flick today and pay attention to all this stuff to decide what custom bits to grab. I guess the pants are a given

Are the HT boots that inaccurate?

What's the deal with the Trailmaster jackets? I see that there's one inexpensive one going around and then there's Hydeous' custom. Does anyone know if there's that big of a quality/accuracy disparity between the two?

The jacket isn't a big deal though Hydeous' obviously is much closer in likeness. However, IMO it isn't a deal breaker like the plastic HT boots as opposed to the custom leather boots.

I'd be surprised if either happened. Possible 2nd MMS release ala BRJoker would be the most likely IMO.

Unfortunetly I had to do the arm swap mod buddy. I just swaped the arms with the arms from a TTM-20.

I'll be happy with that, I really like to love this version of bane but there is something about him that I can't explain. And even if there is a dx or another mms version, what else can they possibly improve or add to his accessories?

I'd be surprised if they altered the headsculpt, but they could release a version with the trailmaster coat and the black shirt from the prologue.
Headset from the stadium scene maybe?
