Re: Hot Toys-MMS 218-Batman(1966)-Batman 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure

I actually think the pricing is pretty ingenious. At $205 and $189, respectively, people are much more likely to order the set than if it were going to cost them, say, almost $500 for the set. Suffice it to say, I've ordered April's far enough away, and at $375, it's a steal.

$375 = a steal? Holy Ka POW, Batman.....I disagree!

Bought, paid for, ready for the Batmobile! :impatient:

Re: Hot Toys-MMS 218-Batman(1966)-Batman 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure

I would have thought they would make these a 2 pack. Nobody is going to get Robin without Batman, and maybe vice versa.
I also like how the ETA is April 2014, which is much earlier than the IM3 Mark 33 Silver Centurion which been up for pre order for a while.
Good thing about these 2 also is that Adam West and Burt Ward have a tendency to appear at Comic Cons more then other actors. So getting them to autograph the boxes would be a no brainer.

Hopefully with no more Iron Man movies on the Horizon , HT can concentrate on more varied licences.

Wait a little bit and you'll find a better steal.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS 218-Batman(1966)-Batman 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure

Yes "reasonable" price for these figures- guess West and Ward licensing wasn't as pricey as Nicholson's!!

It's logical. West and Ward aren't big name actors like Nicholson, who is still active. Not to mention West and Ward are only known for this where Nicholson...well you know. Also people have a bigger tendency to know who Nicholson is.

got mine ordered. love these.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS 218-Batman(1966)-Batman 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure

Wait, WTF? Why are the prices on BBTS and AE the same as SS?

Like CSC told me, SS is purposely limiting their AD's stock. The less stock AD's get, the less discount's they provide. They have to make up the difference by not offering discounts at all. I have a good feeling this is just the beginning. I think SS will ultimately be the go to guy for HT. I hope i'm wrong though!
Toy Anxiety said the same thing. SSC is moving toward a model where folks are forced more and more to buy directly from them.

Adam West is the mayor of a small town in New England, people know him from that as well.

just po'd robin..they got it fixed to where you don't have to flex pay until next year as well(it must have been a glitch before)...now, how to pay for them, when the times comes...lol...

Re: Hot Toys-MMS 218-Batman(1966)-Batman 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure

Give it some time. Action Figure Xpress, Toy Anxiety, and Cornerstore comics will have them much cheaper. Heck the IM armors are $20 cheaper. Not to mention when you add shipping from those places the totals are cheaper than SS's product alone. The $10 flat rate is misleading. Because all they do is slap a sticker on the box. I made that mistake with Rescue Cap. Shipper box was all dirty and the box had a busted corner. And can't take off UPS sticker without ruining the box. You can have them pack it in another box but it's 10 more. So $20 shipping. That's making up the difference you save at other places, but you still have the more expensive product price. Other places automatically pack it out.

Nevertheless these are cheap figures.

Prices are the same across the board everywhere...Cornerstorecomics has them same price as Sideshow

Big Bad Toy Store says sold out for Batman? I ordered Robin from them, and used my points from Sideshow for Batman. Weird that BBTS is sold out already. Maybe it's a mistake?

No mistake...MOS Supes sold out from them in a few hours as I recall.....

No way..Thor 2...Cap 2....Guardians of the Galaxy...Avengers 2...Ant Man..Spiderman 2...HT loves Marvel just not IM......

Re: Hot Toys-MMS 219-Batman(1966)-Robin 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure

Holy Pre-Orders!

What an awesome surprise to come home to. I pre-ordered both figures faster than you can say "To the Batpoles!"

Gosh! I can't imagine the feeling of utter devastation finding out these were suddenly sold out. Holy disappointments.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS 218-Batman(1966)-Batman 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure

AD selling out is because of limited stock, it's not surprising. Hence no discounts.

I cant remember the last time HT had anything that was sold out any time before shipping. in fact lately stuff remains available for a good month or two after it starts shipping.

:lol these won't be suddenly sold out. BBTS has Batman already PO sold out, but once people's heads have cooled off they'll be available again there.

(Placed my order within seconds of waking up)

They'll be back up at BBTS within a few days is my guess. Because they don't have an NRD, a lot of people tend to use BBTS as a place-holder before they end up ordering some place else or cancelling altogether.
