I think their flex plan makes sense.
Your average customer will want both. So really, its a twice the time deal. October though Jan for Robin, and Feb through April for Bats. Three months each, so pay both over 6 months.

They never charge the last payment until the figure is ready to ship though.

Oh, I didn't know that. I never buy from them as I buy direct from a store.
I just thought the timing made sense.
I can't see Robin released three month before Batman tho.

Was so excited to preorder Robin and Batman today. I ordered one of each from sideshow and another pair from bbts. Cant wait to get these and now bring on the Batmobile.

I actually think the pricing is pretty ingenious. At $205 and $189, respectively, people are much more likely to order the set than if it were going to cost them, say, almost $500 for the set. Suffice it to say, I've ordered April's far enough away, and at $375, it's a steal.

I was thinking the exact same thing! If the designer is sneaky enough, they could build in some footholds for the figures into the wall.

Like CSC told me, SS is purposely limiting their AD's stock. The less stock AD's get, the less discount's they provide. They have to make up the difference by not offering discounts at all. I have a good feeling this is just the beginning. I think SS will ultimately be the go to guy for HT. I hope i'm wrong though!

Give it some time. Action Figure Xpress, Toy Anxiety, and Cornerstore comics will have them much cheaper. Heck the IM armors are $20 cheaper. Not to mention when you add shipping from those places the totals are cheaper than SS's product alone. The $10 flat rate is misleading. Because all they do is slap a sticker on the box. I made that mistake with Rescue Cap. Shipper box was all dirty and the box had a busted corner. And can't take off UPS sticker without ruining the box. You can have them pack it in another box but it's 10 more. So $20 shipping. That's making up the difference you save at other places, but you still have the more expensive product price. Other places automatically pack it out.
Nevertheless these are cheap figures.
