How is 2.5 different from 2.1? Looking for 2.5 on alt.bin.starwars. Is it out?

2.5 isn't out yet. It will contain several color corrections, but mostly very minor improvements.

Might be good to be cautious.

I think if you're established enough to sell something on these boards, then you can be added to the list.

We had the same thing with myc's Obi hilt for the Mythos statue. A few people crawled out of the woodwork to order one, and to the best of my knowledge, no one backed out or flaked. Maybe ask myc about his experience. A few had been actual members for years, and made their first or second post in the hilt interest thread. It was fun.

Reading the above, would you like me to edit the list or do you want to implement that starting now? I think it's a good idea as well. There's been several people who have their first or second post as "add me, add me!"

I feel better if it was restricted to those who can meet selling capability on the boards only.

It makes me wary of the ones with 1 or 0 posts coming out of the woodwork like that.

jjj has been very helpful when it comes to making these available and pixle, you were first to jump on the list and you're a regular around here, if we're going to rescind on a handful of people I just want the guidelines to be self-explanatory. I agree 100% jjj's line of thinking. My only issue with being a member before this thread was created is fairness. I agree that several people joined just to get on the list, however, SSF grows and people come across projects they didn't know about and have a genuine interest in them - I don't think they should be turned away (provided they meet jjj's criteria).

What do you guys think?

My suggestion was purely tongue-in-cheek. :)

JJJ can pick and choose however many he feels comfortable with. I just wouldn't want to see him overwhelmed, you know?

I burned a set of Harmy's high def quality DVDs a while back, and they were great. It's been a long time since I've kept tabs on Harmy's or Adiwan's work, but I think I would definitely be interested in getting updated versions of Harmy's work. Is the list that is being formed for those interested in getting Blu-ray discs of the newest versions? If so, could I be added to the list? Don't have a Blu-ray burner yet.

I am not trying to pick and choose. I am just trying to be safe, for myself and the forum.

Getting PM's from randoms that have 1 or 0 posts has made me wary.

I think if they meet forum criteria to sell then it's all good. That's all I'm saying. I don't think that is asking too much.

I think I have helped anyone and everyone that has asked.

It's just in recent weeks the PM's have been odd.

Sorry.

I get where both of you are coming from. I will make sure to take this into account when new people request to be added. Do you want me to update the current list or do you want to handle it as PMs come your way?

I think the obvious choice here is to limit availability to members with 10,000+ posts and/or 5 years of Freaks membership. Also a $5 deposit at the time of "add me!" request confirmation. Seems the only logical and fair course of action.

Let it be done.
