In defense of SS, they have never treated me poorly. It's just been a frustrating time (I know the turnaround time here actually hasn't been that long...but, I'm sure others can understand...).

I was supposed to get a shipping label emailed to me today to send the wrong one back...never came. I'm going to chalk that up to it being a Friday before a long weekend and they just forgot. I will phone on Tuesday and get them to send the label. They said the base was set aside for me already, so I'm not too worried.

Yes, but the point is that without the gold bottomed base, it's an incomplete EX...significantly devaluing it.

I guess it would matter if your trying to get as much money as you can for it. But I have no intension of selling mine so I don't give a crap what's on the bottom

I don't plan on selling mine either, but things change in the future, so you never know. If ever I choose to, or have to for some reason, sell it, I want to maximize how much I can get for it.

And, unfortunately, having an incomplete EX would bother me...it's just the way I'm wired.

...You never know what the future my bring. Plus why have something that's incomplete when you just can have a complete one for free. Of course we'll never see the bottom, but the thing is we as the owner know it and that's all that matters. I find it funny how others think you should settle because they would never look at the bottom. GOOD FOR THEM!

I totally agree. Now if you don't mind me asking.. Is it overspray.. Or something that came off the wax paper???

I was told by others here it's overspray but I'm not 100% positive. It is outside of the area covered by the wax paper though, it's almost under the arm on his right side. The cleaning kit didn't remove any of the glossy area which does make me think it's rub damage of some sort but more on the overall tissue paper wrap (which had red and black paint on it when I removed it) than the (came out clean) wax paper under the chest.

Is it possible to rub the ink off and renumber it yourself?

At least you got the right color base.

Seems they're having some issues with their returns department.

Well damn...Just got around to opening my Deadpool EX and its side knife is broken and one of the silver strips has the paint rubbed of it from the belt. The belt will hide the paint rub on the strap but the broken knife will they send me another one?
