I can't believe that this is the production paint! If so, someone earned their cookies that day!
Great looking piece! Can't wait!

(Makes me realize I am not sure where I am gonna put this when it gets here!)

Great pictures Eagle, but we need some details!
-What's the articulation like, do the wrists rotate as in the pre-production photos?
-Is it as fragile feeling as has been mentioned earlier?
-Does the Ripley head sculpt look any different then the previous head?
-Anything we should worry about in the assembly?

Here's some pics of the earlier Ripley head sculpt to help you compare if you don't own the original:

More here.
Thanks!

Yes. :)

It's fragile in so much as the plastic 'feels' brittle. I wouldn't advise dropping it...

I think you can see for yourself that it's much better. :)

-Anything we should worry about in the assembly?
Some of the hydraulic/piston assemblies are 'fragile' - I felt as though I was about to break them, the back rods especially. Just exercise patience when you're building it. When assembled, it's a solid piece and very impressive. Articulation of the PL is very good BUT when Ripley's hands are gripping the control joysticks, the pose is limited.

My only minor gripe is Ripley's arm joints. HT could have done better I think. I was going to leave her in the box but she kinda sets the piece off.

Overall verdict: Probably one of the best replicas I've ever bought and it's worth every penny. And it's not a toy!

:)

I still just can't see anything different in the Ripley Sculpt, other then it's better painted. I'll know for sure when I get mine.
Thanks!

Wow, Eagle! I loved your setup with the pulse rifle, motion tracker, etc. But now....:monkey5 !

I will really enjoy when I get my power loader in. After seeing your pictures, and the closeup of Ripley, I know I am definitely going to repaint her eyes and hair, just like I did with the first Ripley. Maybe give her a more stern and serious look since she's fighting the alien queen mother in those scenes in the movie while she's in the power loader.

I'll take your advise and be extra careful when assembling the power loader. The last thing I want to do after paying over $260.00 for it, is break or damage it in any way! :D

Wow, just got notification mine will be here along with the brown Alien by the end of the day, thats 2 in the UK!

Reinhardt what is the URL link for Michael Crawford's website? I'm sorry I'm not familiar with it, and I'd love to read a review of the HT power loader! Please post the URL link here. Thanks! :D

Well, I put the beast together last night, all pretty easy till you get to the hydraulic hoses, it's still easy to do, but keep your wits about you as they're all different lengths. Started the review, so I'm hoping to have that done by the end of the week and i'll take the finished photo's as quick as i can.
Sorry for the rushed pics, but I figured you guys would like to see it quick. I'll do better shots for the review. Have to say very impressed and it has a ton more articulation than I expected.
