Freind,I hope you had a change of heart over this because this is my favourite shot of them all.

The dashboard detail on this is the finest thing I ve seen in 1/6.The legibility of the instrumentation, the writing, the fact you can see the Batmobile has covered 14,169 miles(Gotham really that big??),the crinkle finish of the dash(How is that even POSSIBLE??) the toggle switches look like they could be activated by your fingernail, the black and yellow tape looking like it actually IS 1/6 black and yellow tape.

Wo nt be for everyone what Im saying, but the dash is nt getting enough love.
I agree and I'm not undermining the beauty that this collectible is. I for one just can't stand the idea of having 3 scuffs on it for the $650 I spent on it. Nothing against those that can live with their scuffs because I thought about keeping it but in the end it's something that's constantly in the back of mind. This would be no different if it was anything else. If I bought a TV for $650 and it had 3 scuffs on it, I would not just keep it but hey that's me. I'm fine with returning it and living without it. I'm happy that I got to at least have it in my possession for the while.

Stunning pics Spanbauer i'm drooling again.

Thanks, Crimsombob!

Anyone have any lighting recommendations I could install above my Batmobile? I decided to remove the divides in my shelf and park the Batmobile below Joker and Batman instead of squeezing it inbetween them on top the shelf; I've got some old Ikea shelf lights lying around but they are way too bright, harsh and hot. Maybe the LED strips are the way to go? Please pardon the terrible iPhone photo...

Thanks, Batfreak! I'm using an old Nikon D5000 DSLR, with this 35mm f1.8G lens for most of them and tried this 70-300mm zoom lens for one or two photos. I take all of my photos near the window with natural light spilling in; it's the only way I can get good results. I also take about 49 bad photos for every one photo I post :p Which as far as I'm concerned is the only real secret to taking good photos.

It just seems like the photo's are so excellent and clear, they have almost a film-like quality that you couldn't get with a a cheaper average camera. it your camera on the pricer side?

SSC still hasn't contacted me back about finding a local re-seller who wants this so I think I'm just going to demand my return RMA for this so I can drop it off at UPS and be done with it. Getting another from Cornerstore.

Camera body and kit lens was about $720 when I bought it four years ago; my model is long-since discontinued and the current replacement is the Nikon D5200 which runs about $700 for the body-only. The 35mm lens I use for most of my photos is a relative steal at $199. Shooting RAW and adjusting the colors, lights and shadows and white balance in post makes a big difference, too.

haha - that is amazing! congrats DarkMagic. the family look awesome

Fine, here's a quick shot of the "family". I can't find my 1/64 diecast right now.

From largest to smallest:

-Hot Toys 1/6 scale (Obviously)

-RichMan's Toys 1/10 scale Radio Controlled w/light kit

-Kenner The Dark Knight Collection

-Hot Wheels 1/18 scale diecast

-AMT 1/25 scale model kit-- unfinished

Not pictured, but also in the collection: +5 RichMan's in various degrees of completeness (including 2x shield cases), Kenner Camo Attack repaint and Batmissile Batmobiles, Toybiz version, +1 Hot Wheels 1/18 die cast, +2 more unfinished AMT 1/25 kits (+Batmissle kit), +2 1/64 scale Ertls (m.i.a. :()

And that's just the Keaton car collection.

Top notch pics- just will sell more of these for HT! Great job!

Awesome pics and review sallah, can't wait to get mine. Still have mine on preorder from SSC, anyone know when they are getting their next shipment of hopefully non-damaged batmobiles.

Great review Sallah. I can't wait for mine to arrive. I hope my son (5 months old) is as into all this as yours is. It must be cool to have someone to share it with.

I emailed bbts and they stated they could check for damage before shipping. My regular vendor cant get any more product. So, I can keep my damaged one with a credit or buy one from bbts. Its about 180 more if I went with bbts (after credits and shipping etc). Or I can return it and be done.

Im not sure if its worth it... opinions?

If BBTS will inspect it for damages I'd say go with them. You will be happier with one that is not damaged. That alone is worth it.

Does anybody know if the gizmos and gadgets between and behind the seats are supposed to light up? It looks like they should but mine don't light up. Any help would be appreciated.

Alex from AE got back to me saying SSC is offering $50 back now.

Great to see they're offering back less and less. I asked for a return label. What a joke this is. :ohbfrank:

How badly is it damaged, c3r1h5? If its only a light scuff I wouldn't spend $180 to do the exchange.

Wow... So if you got your order late from them, you actually get less money back, even if your flaws are the same? That is terrible. Really, completely crooked.

And of course since they take a ridiculous 5 days to get back to you on issues, by the time they get to me it will probably drop even more.

Really sad to see how far the SS customer service has fallen. :(

They are not supposed to light up so don't worry, yours is not broken :)

That said, i wish those and the details between the seats did light up!

It looks like as more and more people email them regarding this issue, they're issuing back less money to handle the huge amount of emails regarding this matter.

So if someone gets their Batmobile today with QC issues and emails them, by the time they hear back from SSC they'll probably be offered $30 at that point. :slap

Quite frustrating I thought they would have offered me $80 back but now I'm really set on just returning this thing and having this whole mess done with. $50 only covers the shipping cost I paid for this thing.
