I'd be shocked if they didn't do the 2014 sub. There's a very good chance I'm totally wrong because I have no information to support it but I have never felt like the line being in danger by the time they're selling subscriptions was a real thing.

I can see if the 2014 sub doesn't sell well them not doing a line for 2015 but it just seems too late by now to cancel what they already have in the works for 2014.

They did it to the DC infinite earths line, AND ghostbusters lines. I could very eaisly see them killing MOTUC

you had to ask them to bring them out? Perhaps that's what I'm doing wrong.

I skipped Vykron and Molar, but if i can get them for 10$ each, I'm mighty tempted.

I also kinda want those ghostbuster... but I want to SEE them in person first.

He had a huge cart that had the Ghostbusters figures, Barbie, etc. and there were some Molarrs, Megator, an Orko and Vykron on it. I asked if he had any single carded figures and he said there was another box in the back that he couldn't fit on the cart. He was super nice and brought it out.

Did they have a subscription drive and then cancel the line when the quota wasn't met? Also don't both of those lines still exist… I could have sworn they did.

Well I made a Big Lots run in North Florida. Found Snout Spout, Grizzlor, Icarus, Catra and Faceless One. They had about 12 in total. Was really hoping to find the Ghostbusters 2 Pack and an Ork but they didn't have either. :monkey2

I think if they want to push the sub they need to work with and talk to online stores like bbts and maybe make a deal with them to limit day of sales so they buy more.

Motu Classics Blackstar arrives! Cape was custom by me and parts by Alvis underground...figure is just like having a legit Blackstar in Classics-pics don't do him justice

I THINK they're trying again with infinite earths this year, but Ghostbusters is gone.

It's often so frustrating dealing with reading news from Mattel but on the other hand if you don't pay close attention it's often really hard to know what's going on.

Rokkon, Stonedar, and Clamp Champ look really good.

They actually released a Blackstar? Or is that a custom? If it's a custom, it's extremely well made!

Congratulations on your acquisitions, by the way.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I'm really annoyed about ToyGuru saying that it shouldn't matter what figures they make. Well, if he's paying the bill then he can say that. But we're the customers. We have a right to judge if we want to buy a character or if a figure is any good. It's the same egotism which led him to create his Mary Sue. It just feels really crass.

it's the nature of the capitalistic society we've grown into. ALL manufactureers have adopted a mentality of "you'll eat your sheeet and like it! and you'll ask for seconds,AAAAND thank us when you're done!"

That's how it feels. It's funny because TV and movies are going the other direction. DVRs and DVDs let us what when we want to watch, but toy companies want us to buy when they say and what they say. It's just shocking to hear him say it in such an authoritative way.

Not all companies work like Mattel… in fact based on my experience Mattel is really weird.

You can just compare them to how Hasbro handles direct to customer sales. Hasbro works how I'd expect it to work. Mattel always is surprising with confusing and sometimes antagonistic things they do.
