The foam padding is definitely causing scuff marks on mine. They weren't there when I first opened mine.

What?! On which parts? You have all 13 inserts properly installed? Here I was thinking I dodged the bullet since mine arrived fine, now this makes me a little paranoid about putting/leaving the shield on. Commence panicking!

Definately leave the shield off once initially removed.

I'm with Max Power on this. For the price paid, it's only fair for you to receive the goods in mint condition. So yeah, make your voice heard mate. HT (and SS) is out of order if they think they can sell a collectible with QC issues especially at that price.

100% Agreed. I have sent SSC a return/replacement form on my missing foam piece on the armor/shell. So far no scratches, but still have to check windows and lights. If you ask me why it takes so long for me to check mine? That's because a) I have no space in my garage and b) I can't take it inside the house because of my 2 gremlins, so it still sits in the very same box it arrived in.

Who wudda thunk that the "protective shields" would cause more harm than good.

I have a hard time believing the foam is scratching the car.

I think the only way the foam is scratching the car is only if they miss handled it on the way to the states.

I would ask the toy store to put fragile or mark it all over the box to handle it with care on the notes. The QC checks are fine by the way.

Very gad i packed my shield up and will leave in box. I have no room for it. I was gonna use it but she's too good looking to cover up.

I am still kinda shocked by the damage because was packed very securely and safe. I can see it getting scuffed if the inside shell foam isnt there. On another note are the wheels o.k to be on a t.v stand or should i put something under the wheels?

the problem with making large things...i almost expect some form of damages with things this size.

Has anyone made 100% sure the shell is the culprit and checked if mark's line up?

Oh man I was planning to use the shield as a dust cover for a few weeks until my custom case was ready. Oh well I guess I will just flip the empty box over top of it until the case is ready.

Stupid foam.

I don't think Eric will let you do something that intense. Unboxing this seems like an endeavour already and the shop is small. But if he does, let me know

I think the problem is no foam where the canopy would fit. WHY would they not pad that part?
The scuff mark i saw was on the canopy driver side.

I get figure's and covered in the plastic wrap for safety from hot toys. They need to foam insulate the whole armor maybe that would be better. I dont see the foam scratching the car the shell maybe but not foam.

Last statement reminds me of cellphone "protectors" that end up causing more scratches on the gadget's body
