It was a new pack of Duracell AAAs. All of them in the pack were bad, I tested them in a couple of flashlights. I'm sure it was a fluke but I went with Energizers today and they are working fine.

Woa chances of that should really be non existent. All batteries in a pack being bad. I would take it back to the retailer or contact Duracell not to get money back but to let them know there is a safety issue out there.

Can anyone either locally in Canada, or in the US recommend where I can buy an acrylic display case for the batpod? I'm thinking of displaying it on top of two side by side detolfs, but I don't want it collecting dust, let me know, thanks!

So you can do what I did if you don't mind buying 3 more Detolfs. You need 4 Vertically and 1 Horizontally. I just started collecting Hot Toys and here is my Detolf on its side "Fish Tank Style". Be VERY VERY careful. As you know the Detolf uses plastic frame rail channels to hold the glass in place. When you turn the Detolf on its side Gravity is pulling the glass down causing it to flex in the middle. You need 2 people to lift the Detolf up and place sideways on the 4 Vertical Detolfs. You must keep pressure and SQUEEZE the Plastic Edge channels so that the Glass doesn't pop out of the channel.

Once you have it in place you need to use something under the middle of the glass gap in between the bottom glass of the Horizontal Detolf and the Vertical Detolf. I took a roll of Black electrical tape and Cut the Whole Roll in half. Then Squeezed it flat and took layers off tape to make it just tall enough to push under the glass. This needs to go in the middle of the glass because this is where it wants to flex.

I hope I'm explaining myself properly..... let me know

Hey lotus that looks COOL!I didn't even think 'bout placing the Detolf on its side! It's great for 12" figures but being that it's about 15" it's not much head room for the big figures like Hulk,Iron Monger,Jake Sully etc.,.You did write that you need 3 more Detolfs so PLEASE post some PICS of your Detolf set-up cause i'm really interested in seeing it!^_^

Ok here is a quick pic.....Please note I just started collecting Hot Toys last week so I don't have many....Just a Mark V, Mark IV Secret, War Machine, and Bane. I'm going this weekend to pick up my Camo Tumbler which I will attempt to place inside the top Detolf with bane....Don't know If I will be able to close the door. The door opens by lifting up towards the celling. I don't have my figures set the way I want them right now, but when I'm done I will post a full set of pics of my collection.....

Guys and Girls....Please be careful if you decide to do what I did and turn a Detolf on its side. The Glass will want to pop out of the channel so apply pressure on the 3 sides while you are lifting up.

Yes and when you do this be careful that the glass does not explode into your wrist as it happened to me. Detolf glass is very highly flexible and with that comes breakage.

Yes it is so important to apply firm pressure on all 3 sides where the glass meets the plastic channels while lifting up. When the finally get the Detolf on its side you MUST place something under the middle to support the glass from popping out of the channel. You wont notice anything is wrong until you start placing figures in the case and the middle starts sinking and then finally POPS out of the channel and once it pops out it is a Pain to get back in...

Here is my original Post

Mattel is giving us a Batpod in Camo colors so is anyone here interested in Hot Toys doing the same? I'd like it if it was an experimental piece that was an excuse to pack in a Lucious Fox and some blueprints/design extras. One of those off screen moments since we knew he had to design it anyway. I just want a Fox is all!

I think it's possible to happen. After the final product photos of Selina I noticed a good number of people looking of for the figure and Bat-pod on some Buy and Sell threads in our country alone.

Just for fun I checked evilbay. They are all over $400 now! :horror Glad I bought mine from SS back in Feb. I think I paid $250 shipped with a gift card.
