I don't care... I really like it and I don't need my opinion validated by hate trains. Some here are complaining about the hand and arm placement... laughable since it jasn't changed since the teaser.

Maybe the ES will be cut short with the hate. Too bad cause I wouldn't have minded a Zod and Jor El too.

Oh I learned my lesson m8, I am NOT on the hate train ... More the confused train.... Just trying to figure out why this looks different then in the teaser that is all... Not the paint ... More the proportions.

I bet once in hand pics and videos of this at SDCC come up, some folks will change their tune

Which is what a PF should be! PF's are supposed to be mixed media. I hated when PF's all of a sudden started getting more and more sculpted instead of having real fabric material

Totally agree! Poison Ivy PF would be even better if the leaves wasn't sculpted.

I like mixed media too, darkness. I never said I didn't. A good balance between rock and cloth is where it's at son! That guy called out crappy paint aps, which last time I checked, it was 95% covered in fabric. Unless he meant head and hands.
never said you didn't either :peace: just expanding a bit adding my thoughts of what a PF should be as I know lots of PF collectors like to throw around the the phrase "I don't want my PF wearing pajamas." I would've love to have bought the Cyclops PF had it had the spandex on it like Wolverine. But I do believe he was talking about the head and hands. I think the paint looks the same as any other human paint ups from SS.

:exactly::lecture

However, I wouldn't mind a low ES. I'm not big on the ES thing but a low ES is never a bad thing. It's the cherry on top for me. Not necessary but always nice.

Personally I don't care about movie versions of comic book characters (except for Batman 89), I'm not even interested in the Reeve PF so yeah...

But I think people might be more interested in it after seeing the movie this weekend.

Although I really like the suit and think they did a very nice job on the body and face sculpts, there is something very boring about this statue, to me. The comic PF is very powerful visually whereas this comes off more like someone pretending to be Superman at a comic convention.

That perception may change once I have a chance to watch the movie, however I'm thinking that movie versions may simply be less appealing to me than comic versions.

I may pick this up in a week or two but right now it feels like it may lose its appeal quickly and at $380, I simply don't see the value in this piece right now. If it was closer to $300, it would have been far more enticing to me.

For those that get this, congrats because I am sure that suit is going to look great on this massive figure and for people also getting the Reeve PF, this will look great next to it to showcase the old and the new.

:goodpost: yes I agree but congrats to all who gets this amazing statue!
The pose I don't like but the scuplt is still great!

Don't forget the shipping so this statue will be had for 410.00 to 420.00ish. Im sure at that price there will be some cheaper later on when it gets released. They are rushing this out to capitalize on the movie release to generate more excitement and sales. Maybe that's why the pose was chosen lime this for a rush to get it out fast.

I've seen the movie and plan to see the 2nd time this weekend, the movie is *****ing violent hence absolutely impressive. So I gotaa get one of this movie version statue, but I also agreed this one has not the best pose maybe SS rushed up and kinda ruined it because the head sculpt of Trevor is very accurate.
What I fear the most is when the sequel come out SS would release another one with the different pose, then we all kinda dumb to get the 1st version......

better look of the portrait. Looks really good!
