From what I can see the hooded sculpt is definitely a step down, though it's really just lagniappe anyway for this new figure, so no big deal.

I was always a fan of the hooded CC, so I was happy with their 1st release in that regard. But this version looks better in practically every way. It'll be interesting to see how the hooded sculpt stacks up against the original Sideshow CC when we have him in hand.

I'm keeping the first Commander.
The new hood head sculpt is excellent.
Both are quite good, if the first hood head was a bit smaller I think I'd prefer the first version though.

Very cool, wish the exclusive was his laser pistol that strapped on his back, but I guess thats just a minor thing. I don't think I've ever seen that exclusive laser pistol hes packing.

seems like the pistol is made up to me...he never used a lazer tag gun unless its somewhere in the Sunbow cartoon

I won't be going ELITE on this one because i'll never pose him with that gun anyway

Hey guys, this CC obviously doesn't come with his iconic toy blaster but I just did some perusing of the early comics and BOTH guns were featured early on in the Marvel run.

The new exclusive laser pistol was actually featured in GI Joe #1 from 1982. He held it to the blond woman's head.

He wielded the Mauser pistol in issue #5.

I'm pretty picky but really all I ask that these guys be "vintage," whether it be from the toys, Sunbow cartoon, or Marvel comics. This one qualifies for me. No complaints.

Curious to see the edition size on this. On one hand, it's Cobra Commander. On the other hand, Bludd has yet to sell out at 1,000 units at this price point with no nrd.

Was worried after seeing the teaser image...but they just knocked this one out of the park. Just enough ARAH vintageness plus new world aesthetics. Love the homage to the laser pistol from Marvel Comics G.I. Joe #1.

He will look awesome next to my Siegie. Might need to get a second one just for CC.

The tailoring looks very nice on this one... just look at how well the collar on his inner shirt lies.

The material might be a bit questionable... I looks like it wrinkles quite convincingly, but almost looks like velvet or semi-textured.
