a-dev, Luse, Platty, Snake Plissken, Eamon, thanks, mates!

I'm happy with the stock clothes
Naaah, I'm just one paranoiac guy, so don't take my opinion too close to the heart. )))

***

Yesterday I've made some more homework with this guy. And I hope that I'm finally done with it now. :impatient:
So what I did:
1) I've found that all bullet holes on his jacket close by themselves with some time. So I've glued their perimeters and painted them into matt black. And edited the pain-job on the cloth here and there.
2) I've added some moderate dirt and blood on his shirt and knee. Yeah. There should be some blood.
3) I've crippled all the connection lines on his knee, where you can clearly see that it's just a skin colored doll parts there inside. And painted them of course.
4) And finally added some burns and dirt on the bandolier. It was too way clean and new.

try a hot needle (or nail depending on diameter needed) next time. gives a cool heat gray effect from the bullet and forever prevents them from closing )
just remember: NO lighter or candle fire. they give too much soot.

as usual, your attention to details such as torn matter, dirt or blood is great... yeah... maybe a little too great )))

the knee flesh effect is the best. it's clearly understandable that that knee was torn by sliding the asphalt on high speed - all burns and dirt and dark blood are there.

Yap, hot needles works great on 1/6 scale, bro. True. But in 1/4 scale they give too little holes. ((( So I've used the awl and glue, worked pretty well. And yes, lighter is only for solid burns, that's for sure!

Should post some shots of my 1/6 T800 Cyberdyne with needled back. :)

nails!
my first "back shooting" was made with nails. i still see how beautiful they turned out... those GRENADE HOLES in 1/6 figure :rotfl

Ow. Nails are cool too. ^_^ I looooooooooooove to stuck something fire-hot into something. So much fun! :-D

But I'm quite satisfied with my awl work here. They're like 1/4 of his 1/4 scale nail and it looks just like the bullet size in this scale.

And yes, I too think that the knee turned out better than chest. Knee and skull - my favorite parts of the figure. Always catches my eyes on them.

Home. Finally. Unbelievable.
Anybody who is having ANY doubts:
Pictures don't do this justice. GO and get this ASAP. REALLY.
Pictures next week at the latest...

:clap

Glad to hear you got him, can't wait to see your pics. He's really worth every penny, and all the time spent waiting. A masterpiece (unless it's V-raptors uber masterpiece ;) )

Congrats, brother! He really is something, yes?

I love looking at my 1/4 Batman and 1/4 BD T800 while having a break. Arnie's just too life-like I swear I won't be surprised if I hear him say "I know now why you cry"

(to which I'd respond "it's because of VRaptor, dangnabbit")

Thx, Jeff...though I´m gonna envy you on behalf of the endo.
:1-1:

But if I had to choose this would be the one. Arnie is totally in this figure!!

Yep, totally, there´s NOTHING against it.
Perfect sculpt.

It's the best figure ever made so far hands down!!

I guess this will stay as a standard for figure OR statue for a long time. And as far as I´m concerned there even was NO statue that was good. The best figures, with the best likeness just come from HT and/or EB.

Congrats Timo! Glad you've joined de parrty

Thx, Andrew. He is totally worth it.

Can´t believe this piece and all those details, especially the endoparts in the face and the grenade launcher.
Those stand out the most to me.

:hi5:

Dude! Have some tact, the poor figure only has one hand! I know hes an emotionless machine but still! :wink1:

:lol

Well I should bow my head in shame as I have yet to buy the Endo.

I voted no on the Batpod though!

No Batman this year for me, but I need the endo still too.
POéd it from a german seller though.
Definite buy.

:rock

I'd say the sideshow dutch statue is a very good likeness of Arnold. definitely there best Arnold statue for sure. I just wish there paint applications where a lot better than they are!

Well, yeah...the likeness is alright...but to me...likeness means a bit more and not just the overall sculpt. It inherits the paintjob to give a COMPLETE representation of a certain character and no statue did that to me and only the figures that I own, or like thr 1st EB 1:4...which I do regret a bit not getting him, due to the cyberdyne gear that comes with the BD...
