Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I think I'm definitely going to open my package of nitrile gloves before I remote Super from his package.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I had my Superman for the last two years and I just accidentally snagged his suit. I don't want to have to buy a whole new figure at this point, any advice?

Although it will probably come down to me buying another, if anyone has one in good condition PM me.

How bad is the snag?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

How bad is the snag?

Probably 2/3 of an inch across on his waist, now it's full of snags after removing the suit... I forgotten what a death trap it is to even mess with this thing. This is my replacement Supe that I've had since release.

I pray they do a DX version.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I'd LOVE a DX version of the Christopher Reeve Superman!!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Very true. I always handle mine wearing black tattoo gloves. Awesome gloves for handling this figure... And tattooing! Lol

I have a spare superman suit i bought from a member here for $60. There is the tiniest run showing on the right leg which you only see when the suit is off a figure, and a small stain just above the waist that once again only seems visible when the suit is contracted off a body.
I used to have it on a TTM19 with a Routh head:

So you can only see the issues when the suit is off but when it's own it looks flawless?

here is my guy....love this figure!

Not everyone would know him as Bomber or Pat Roach.
I thought "The nazi who fought Indiana Jones at the flying wing" would get more recognition lol.
How many people reading this know who Bomber is?
I dose my lovely;)

Lol.. Good man. I have the first 2 on DVD too. They don't make them like that anymore. Pure class.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I was wondering, I haven't seen Superman III and IV since I was a kid (early 90's) and I do have the anthology blu ray for ages now but haven't gotten around watching them. I adore the 1st movie to no end, didn't like both versions of Superman II even though I've watched both versions last year I've forgotten most of the scenes. (sorry.)

I watched Superman Returns once. I've just finished rewatching the entire animated series though. So should I watch II, IV and Returns? I've heard so many bad things about them and I don't wanna ruin the perfect image of the 1st movie in my mind.

II is okay. Could have been better, could have been worse.
Superman Returns is my favourite because it's not only more contemporary, but is notable for showing his frailties as well as his strength.
A good story has it's characters weaknesses laid bare and i like Superman Returns for this facet more than anything else.
But burn the disc for Superman IV...

Something about Richard Pryor's performance rubs me the wrong way. (No offense to him though). The ONLY scene I remember is the evil Superman fight. God I'm senile.

EDIT: My bad, I thought you wrote "III."

I watched it once in 2007 while hanging out with buddies at a bar but I hated Superman had a son and that turned me off big time. But I've also forgotten the movie and I think I should give it another chance.

That bad huh?

So far my 2nd favorite Superman movie has to be All-Star. My God it nearly moved me to tears but I was surprised that many people hated it. (for the record I have the graphic novel), and Christopher Drake has to be the new Superman composer from now on- his work on that film was absolutely beautiful.

All star is good. There's a bit more in the graphic novel as you well know.
My favourite Superman story is in Superman/Batman, when Lara comes to Earth and brings all the kryptonite with her.
The government stockpile and the mountains of it under the sea were cool touch.
Give Superman Returns a watch if you can spare the time to watch it all the way through. In my eyes it's the first story i had seen with him seeming vulnerable. Most stories have him being totally invulnerable. It's a great dichotomy. A guy who is strong enough to throw the earth into the sun able to have his heart broken by a woman. We've all been there(The heart broken part. Not tossing the earth into the sun...).

Sound intriguing. I guess I'll do a III, IV, Returns marathon tomorrow. There are also plenty of bonuses on the Anthology set that I've checked out. This has to be one of the most generous blu ray boxsets ever.

Which is why Mask of the Phantasm is my all time favorite Batman movie, way better than TDKR in my opinion.

It's a great set, for sure. Let us know your thoughts when you've watched them.
