Final flex-pay was yesterday, and I just got the FedEx shipment notice! Obi-wan should be here by Thursday! :yess::yess::yess::yess:

Really??
I ordered him March 22nd and have yet to get a shipping notice. Daniel told my he second shipment wasn't there yet.
WTF Sideshow? I'm really starting to get annoyed.

You will not be disappointed!!

I'm hoping not! :) So far this week has been really, well, I want to say hit or miss, but it's been mostly miss! Hopefully tomorrow will turn around my fortunes!

This is still the first shipment! I ordered it a while back, and I received an e-mail from them asking if I minded about the 1/1200 numbering, or if I wanted to wait until the second shipment which corrects it to the 1201/2000 numbering.

I told them I didn't care about the numbering, so this one is from the first batch! If you ordered it a month or so ago, my guess is that that they'll wait until the next shipment comes in (which I believe is June, which is why the "release date" was pushed back on the official site!)

Ah ok. Man this is taking a long *** time.

Mine just got here and it's FANTASTIC! I mean...it's...when you have it set up and it's there and you look at it, it's like :thud:

It's just absolutely stunning! I've never posted pictures, and I don't really have a great camera at all...but I'll see if I can figure it out later. Either way, you can get the idea from the other ones posted, it's that beautiful. It's just...I mean, I'm literally just beginning to collect, but I'd have to say this is a "grail" piece for those who look for them.

I don't really know the term, but if it means "must own" "Must have" "Must buy and have in your collection, no questions asked" then this is that. It's just so flawless. The loss of the lightsaber is unfortunate, and I don't really understand why...but it's SO minimal...there's so much more to this statue that it doesn't really matter. That's not just letting Sideshow off the hook or anything, as I don't really want to get into all that; but I mean, this piece is superb.

I'm going to have to contact them about a replacement Ewan sculpt, as theirs just a blotch around his inner hair curls that stands out to me, and since that's the sculpt I want to pose it with I want to take care of that and see what happens. Minor complaint.

There's just so much to love about this statue. Seriously...I'm new, this is my second PF (I received Lara about a month earlier!) but I've got about 5 more on order and can already tell this one is going to be one of my favourites forever.

In short: If you're on the fence AT ALL about getting this statue, forget any issues you've heard about, ignore the missing hilt, hope QC does their job (and contact Sideshow if they don't and hope for the best) and ORDER THIS STATUE! You will not regret it. You WILL regret missing it. I guarantee that. It's just astonishing. I'm absolutely in love. If I stopped collecting right now, and this was the only statue I ever owned, I'd be completely fine with that. Absolutely gorgeous :clap :yess:

hey congrats my friend !! I felt the same way when I got mine.. its so much more impressive in person.. Just to bad that all the nice details are on the back of the statue and you rarely gonna see them..

Thanks! :1-1:

It's definitely so much more impressive in person. I mean, I instantly fell in love when I saw it initially as a pre-order picture, and Obi-wan is my favourite character alongside Han, so it was a no-brainer for me. But even looking at pictures people post...I mean, you can't judge it by that. As you know, it's just a piece that if you have any inkling of wanting to own, you should order. It's that much of a guarantee that you'll love it!

And it's true...if there was ever a piece that deserved to spin, it's this one! Unfortunately (but at the same time fortunately -- because it's so epic and awesome) the robe is far too big for that to happen in most cases.

You've been at this longer than me, so maybe you can confirm its grail status for me haha :) I know it's definitely a must own for anyone who is even thinking about it in the slightest. There are no regrets to be had once you see this piece, and definite regrets if you miss out! Glad your piece turned out well in the end as well!

grail or not grail.. I can not stand that word for some reason. it all is what it means for you.
Grail.. I just take this word in consideration for pieces that are out of my price league and pieces, that became super rare and the aftermarket is asking crazy money for it..

Obiwan in this case.. not yet. He has a big ES and is still in stock.. I love this piece.. but I dont consider it as a grail until its a hard to find statue.

oh and about your missing hilt.. you might be aware of my custom hilt.. the wait list is big but the first batch is going out this week and I think I will do 40 for the second batch

^ Glad you like him Golden Boy. While we all have definitions of what certain words mean to us in this crazy hobby, it always comes down to how you personally feel about it.

I remember opening the box to this Mythos piece and the size and intricacy of the sculpt just blew me away. Any of my friends that see it are instantly amazed.

As long as you're happy in the end, that's all that matters.

Ah, nice! I believe I read about that earlier! I may have to find the thread, or PM you about it in a little bit!

:exactly::goodpost:

I agree with you both about the idea of a grail...I guess I meant it as a can't miss piece, but it's true that it does all come down to how you feel about a statue or figure. Personally, I've got a wide variety of PFs on pre-order (Batman, Ivy, Deadpool, Vader, Drake) so it's all what appeals to me over specific lines, or things like that. Definitely a good way to go about the hobby, as it gives everything a more personal feel!

But yes, as long as you're happy with any purchase in the end, that's all that counts. And I'm damn happy with this one! So much so that I'm really tempted to pre-order Boba Fett as well...

You can't collect Star Wars and not pre-order Boba Fett. :cuckoo: j/k:peace

You know, I've never been a huge Fett fan! He just never appealed to me overall. He was interesting, but I have never gone out of my way to get anything Fett related. However, when I saw him go up, I thought he looked brilliant. I absolutely love the giant cannon of a gun he holds, and the detail is phenomenal -- especially the hidden weapons, and the sabers of the fallen Jedi he's slain. And after seeing the amazing detail and beauty in this Obi-wan sculpt, I'm heavily debating making the order!

So much on pre-order...damn...you...beautiful...recent...sculpts! :gah:

I must admit that I am never one to inspect my Sideshow products when I receive them, unless I am displaying them right away. I knew this was not smart of me, but I never had a problem before... until now. Thank god I was forced to open my Obi-Wan Mythos in order to confirm my hook type (in order to get myc's saber). I won't tell you what the problem is. I'll just provide a picture of my two heads.
