Which somehow in this ****ed up world won't get a sequel. :lecture

You are correct: :(

There was a moment there when the world realized how badly it ****ed up by ignoring Dredd in theaters and the film became a home video hit, prompting many to wonder if a sequel could be in the works after all. And if they were to make a sequel to Dredd, maybe Part Two would be X-rated for gore. And if that become a hit, maybe Karl Urban as Dredd would start killing criminals in real life. And if that idea were to succeed, perhaps we might finally rid this planet of evil once and for all.

Sadly, the world is not to be saved. The needs of the moneyed few outweigh the needs of the many, it appears. This is just more class warfare.

During a Reddit Ama last week, Dredd producter Adi Shankar (who signed on with this: "Hi. I'm movie producer Adi Shankar. I make unapologetically R-rated, ferociously violent, action & crime feature films") shot down any work on a future Dredd sequel, other than maybe a short film similar to Thomas Jane's awful Punisher short "#Dirty Laundry".

It went down like this: One person said, "I loved Dredd. Will it have a sequel?"

To which, Shankar responded:

Probably not. But I am working on a Dredd short in the vein of #DirtyLaundry ... you're actually the first person to know about this ...

So lets all cross our fingers that "#DreddOverFed" becomes the new "Charlie Bit Me" because unless that happens, we're all out of Karl Urban looking pissed off and talking to his iGun. And that would be a real, realistic shame.

Dredd, the best film nobody went to see in 2012. GI Joe will probably get another sequel. :slap

Holy **** this movie sucked. If people are saying this is better than the first, I don't ever want to see it.

The movie was just a meh from start to finish. Take out of the Cobra logos and this is just some average plain jane whatever.

The mountain scene was the only part that was remotely interesting. And I just kept wondering how all those ninjas kept from getting their ropes tangled. And also Snakes and Jinx musta had some really long rope to rappel down the mountain house.

Why is everyone taking their masks off every 3 seconds?

Why did they give Firefly some redneck Alabama accent?

Was it too hard to give any of the "joes" that were killed at the begriming names? Wouldn't hurt to have one called Rock n Roll or Rampart.

The ten fingers bit made my chuckle but I just sat there in disgust the rest of the film. Terrible film and terrible take on GIJoe.

Transformers may not have been a accurate adaption, but at least it was made by someone who loved cars, can do action and had a fantastic soundtrack. Retaliation had nothing.

I don't see how any fan would waste their money on the HT figures as well. None of those figures are GIJoe.

Thanks EF you just saved me 25$ and 3 hours I cant spare.

So passing on this now in the theatre

Glad to see it did well over the weekend at the boxoffice, as much as i had my problems with it, i want the movie to do well because i want more GI Joe Movies, i think theres massive amount of potential. I just them to focus on the characters, try and stay close to the source material.

but then again i was hype for TRANSFORMERS 3, thinking Bay learned through his faults on the 2nd one, but he didnt, he repeated it.

Two words: Kick. Starter. I know that's become a cliché, buts, honestly, Dredd seems like a more appropriate candidate than any of these projects I've been hearing of, as of late. It had that quality that only something made by a fan would have.

Best news I could hear short of them doing a full blown sequel. :yess:

They just greenlit G.I.Joe 3.....

so we have...

G.I.Joe- Rise of Crap
G.I.Joe- Retardation
G.I.Joe- The final nail in the coffin?

LOL

"The filmmakers appear to have handed a dozen or so G.I. Joe dolls to a 9-year-old, watched him play for 110 minutes, and then shot a scene-for-scene remake"

I was cringing listening to their lines.

I was laughing my *** off at the single tank assault at the end, the enemies weren't even moving. :monkey4

There was no reason to even attack those stationary whatever they were. :lol

But the studio could give two ****s what I think, they got my money.

Studio: 1
Me: Loser

I really tried to enjoy this movie...if nothing else for The Rock and the ninja battles. Unfortunately, both were even disappointing. The fight between Snake -Eyes and Storm Shadow was so hyped up in the trailers, but that's how it ended? Like a lame UFC wrestling match with knockout gas? The jinx vs the unarmed Snake Eyes training fight was the best 15-20 seconds of the entire movie.

The more I look at cc helmet it looks like a face mask with a mullet. I was cringing at the end when roadblock and his relic tank was destroying all the new technology out there.
