iv been playing around with this translucent paint.i do like the overall look but think i need to start with a darker skintone cast,anyway still early days.(camera washed out the skintones alot)

noob answer lol, dont realy know what im doing just having a play around.

it allows the colour of the cast to come through ,but only if is skin tone to start with .if done rite lol, you get a more natural flesh look .i think any ways not every one likes it.plus alot of figure companies are doing it so your customs wont look so wierd next to them.also helped these heads not look so caked up coz alot less layers go on.

Maybe the Tatoonie (Moisture Farmer) head ?

i think i have a bespin luke? from ss but would have to strip the paint.not sure if hes skin tone underneath.i could try casting it in a nice skintone resin wich i have on the way??.

The Bespin kinda looks sucky. I think after the Stormie LUke sculpt the Moisture farmer one is the closest, but I may be mistaken since I don't have any in-hand.

the darker cast makes a dif ??

this is the head from the heroic faceoff figure.painted the same as dean but with a solid skintone paint base,still looks good but not the same.

Wow man... great work on these. The translucent stuff looks particularly nice. It gives it almost a factory look compared to being a custom. Sadly not a lot of heads start life out cast in color.

Nope, Luke is kind an off-white if I remember correctly.

thanks mate,thats what i like about it aswell (the sorta factory look) rather than looking like a back yard job lol.still have a ways to go i think but getting there.
