Is there a crack in the arm?

It's not a crack, that's a line sculpted in....

Hmm I just checked and I have the same exact line on his arm as well. So now I wonder, maybe it is there? Then my base and arm on the rhino has some air holes/ pockets in the arm and base. Is this normal? Would you email SS about tiny air holes? Theres like 7 of them in one spot on the arm area. Then one big one on my base.

I hate to say this DHAVAL but it's just the luck of the draw. There is obviously some issues with cracking on this piece. Only you can decide if it's worth the risk. My only point is that you shouldn't be put in this position. It sucks because this is a really good looking statue that you are paying a lot of money for. I have to believe that you and the other collectors who ordered this wouldn't have any problems if SSC hadn't decided to make this an eggshell statue. Skimping on materials to save cost has really hurt this piece overall it seems. The QC issues probably could have been avoided if this just weighed a little more. It didn't have to be solid and clock in at 60 lbs but if he at least weighed about 40 lbs (like Skaar) I would have to believe that could have eliminated the cracking issue. The Hulk Com is another statue that isn't solid but when you handle him he has very nice weight to him and a solid feel to it. He also weighs more than 30 lbs so the hollow parts of it are not as thin as Rhino.

The bottom line is that I'm not surprised to see some of these having cracking issues. A statue as massive as Rhino clocking in at less than 20 lbs just seem all kinds of wrong to me. Hell, I have 1/7 scale Bowen statues that are heavier than that. I can't lie, Rhino being less than 20 lbs would really bother me if I had ordered the piece.

if it will have issues over a time it will be headache for me & after paying 663$ including customs n all n this cracking problem happens :gah: ..... & i m feeling its not worth 660$ at all even Ex so i m thinking of cancelling it..

My UPS driver was nice enough to come back and drop off my Rhino reg #197. Amazing piece in person. HUGE. Yes it is light but my back appreciated that when I brought him up a flight of stairs. Luckily the QC was very good on mine. Only found the smallest nail thin crack on his back but it's barely perceptible. Touching him it definitely feels delicate but once its on my shelf he won't be going anywhere so not too worried about that. Also, the magnet on my 1 and only reg. head is very strong. Overall, I am pleased to have this giant in my collection.

Anyone here plan to somehow fill up the hollow area in the statue to make it more solid?

That would be costly and why would you modify It's weight? I know it's light but that's just how SSC has been producing their Collectibles for a while now, its obviously a financial decision for them. And even if you mod the weight how big of a diff will that make to a collector ? You don't see weight and for the most part these statues will just sit in one place for long periods of times. SSC products which actually had weight and not hollow are their classic products. For example my spiderman 1:1 bust is heavier than the new venom bust and Its not hollow. I know we would want a big piece like rhino to have weight like the original hulk pf but if its SSC way of keeping prices adequate for consumers than I'm fine with giving up a couple of lbs. Trust me I was surprise at the lack of weight on rhino when I picked him up but it's not a deal breaker for me.

I would keep this. Other then the weight, Most of the issues can easily be fixed with reg cheap materials from a art shop. The rhino colors mold right into some simple clay. It should be a easy fix if it comes to it. After all the flaws you will love this piece. Believe me bro. He is a center piece for all collections. The only issue that would make it not worth ordering this is if a arm , leg, etc cracks all altogether, which none has so far. but you will love this one!

Too risky I would not mess with it. It could backfire big time. :dunno

Prices seems to be the same to me if not going higher. Maybe I'm just dumb or out of the times? :lol

I agree but if they would produce them with the weight of a hulk pf which isn't hollow I think that would lead to a price north of $500. I would love for the lowest price but I love their products and I will pay for them the only issue at times is QC since the last thing u want with these prices is a QC issue. Love my rhino great thread

Head is still too small.

BB

Looks good to me but I respect your opinion, the heads is actually pretty heavy. And a bit lighter in color then the body at least on mine but I have to shine bright white LEDs to notice it and its mostly under the neck and not noticeable. If it looks good from 2 feet away I'm fine with it

Just afraid may accidently damage this if too fragile. By the way nice setup on your rogue gallery.

Dont worry man its not that fragile youll be fine just display him and let him look good. i think the spiderman comiquette is more fragile bc of his right hand being on a magnet. If you dont move him around too much or have people touching it youll be fine no matter how fragile a collectible may be. My most fragile is general grevious pf. Thanks on the comment for the pic better pics in my collection thread.

Nice lighting effect, is the lights place under the statue? At this point of time I only have Spidey and Rhino. Would like to get the rest but at the price they are going at I guess wont be possible in the near future.

Thanks yes they are led strip lights below and in front of them. Well at least you have spidey which to me is #1 and a classic and rhino will soon reach the prices of the ones you are missing.

Yup Spidey is one of my favorite. I'm looking forward to Sideshow coming up with more Spidey villians so that I can assemble a line up of Spidey and a rogue gallery.

Incoming body & reg portrait on the 25th.
They didn't even ask me to destroy the original piece before as well. :rock2

Edit: Nevermind. It was for the Hot Toys Joker. :slap
