Thanks guys, those are sweet! Patience was my downfall and I went with what I could buy today (birthday) and picked up the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 edition.

Has anyone seen this:

I am considering getting the older model (with blue LEDS) to go with my stuff, but I think I'd rather wait for the Corsair K95. Having a warranty is very important, especially with a Razer product, and I wouldn't get one with the older model since the only outlet for them is ebay.

I don't look at the keyboard so I feel for what I think is the left side, with that row there I have to remember that that's not the actual edge of the buttons and that they're further over.

Plus I never use those keys so there's no point.

Ohhhhh, I see. Makes sense. I've hit them a few times but think I'll get used to them being there. Now I need one for work so I don't forget.

It was in my top 3 but I ended up getting it because I could buy it the same day but I'll say it rocks. I was worried I wouldn't like the cherry-blue switch keys but I love them....I love the clicking sound and the feel of them. I find programming the keys is pretty easy and the lighting brightness is very customizable...although I do wish it had more color options but the lighting is spectacular. As long as it doesn't crap out I think it's an awesome keyboard.

Are any of you familiar with this processor? It's the first time that I've ever seen an i7 that costs $1000.

On an unrelated note, I just realized that I bought a single 8 GB stick of RAM instead of two. That means that my PC won't have dual-channel memory enabled. So, I'll have to live with the slower performance for a while... :gah:

There's actually a better one, the 3970x

I've got the 3930k which is only slightly lower than the 3960, yet it costs about half as much.

I've gone through several keyboards over the years and for a while I used the G15 but I never used the macro keys and most of the extras.
After trying the Wave I never looked back. Love this keyboard.

what part didn't you like?

I didn't like the feedback and tactile feel of the keys. I also wasn't impressed with the build quality.

I am also a keyboard snob so I am sure it is great for most people.

Typing is basically my life so I have to have something I can use everyday that I can stand.

Yeah i hear ya, especially with the feel of the keys, that is totally subjective...I wasn't sure I would like it or hate it but I ended up liking it. I wish stores would have more gaming keyboards you could test out.

Haha ya exactly!

I went through A LOT of keyboards to find one I liked. Blew way too much money.

I never knew that keyboards were so important. I just buy whatever's on sale, whatever's available, or whatever comes pre-packaged in a PC bundle.

Right now, I'm using an old PS/2 Compaq Presario keyboard from the 90s, because my USB one died last week :lol.
