:lol We should put " YES, the DX02, OC suit and Demon Batman boots will all work for the TF Batman release" in the title of this thread. Or at least make it a sticky. :lol

can someone confirm to me if all the HT Batman Begins releases have this Right Ankle Defect?

for example if i buy the Dark Knight (second Edition Release) will it have this issue

sorry if this has been asked before, i am new to all of this.

Yeah it's gonna break. This isn't the only figure with ankle issues... believe it or not, the previous OC bats also has ankle issues, don't know why people act like it doesn't/didn't. The Goemon and Saizo figures had broken ankles too, pretty much the same system.

ok i asked because i was planning to get one, so from my understanding it does not matter if i buy the dark knight release or the toy fare exclusive which was released last year. because they all will break eventually

do not care for the accessories that come with it, i just need it to stand next to my Tumbler. and it will kill me if i see it unable to stand by it self...

I don't think it's the same.

The OC Bats had somewhat loose ankles, but they could be fixed (for example, by applying nail polish to the ball joint to thicken it and thus tighten the joint).

The Toyfair Batman has a boot socket that literally crumbles and has to be replaced completely somehow. In addition, it appears to be endemic to all such figures, not just some.

My OC bats is still in perfect condition with no joint issues at all. And I still like the OC suit's finish better than the TF which collects dust like a magnet. I've always felt like the TF wasn't much of an improvement besides the new Wayne and Bats head. If anything the body was a step backwards.

Mine's foot fell off. Nothing came out from the boot though. Not sure if its broken. He uses the stand to stay up. I'd rather not tempt the fates and risk damage to the suit or ankle anymore than there is.

Sounds like the damage has already been done.

I wouldn't put it on the stand, unless you want this to happen.

It's a time bomb, just waiting to go off.

Indeed it is. Just got this guy out of his box after being in storage for a few months, was fine upon arrival, but both feet are crumbled messes now. I have a little pile of plastic I just tapped out of the boots onto my desk, pretty rad.

Ugh, guess it's time to try a few of the mods floating around in this thread.

:monkey2

That's because the grundle grabber was bent to close together , seperate the supports so that they lighlty touch the thighs

I have no problem with the stands. Like others said, you don't want to elevate your figure onto it's tippie toes by grabbin' onto it's *****.

On a bright side, now Batman can double as a bowling ball.

ha looks like both of my boots came off just now after peacefully standing on his stand in a detolf for months.

Just moved mine yesterday... he was totally fine since getting him and his right foot just came off... it was broken in two pieces...

Anyone know what pages hae the the repair tutorials?

I'm trying to search but I have only seen the one idea...

Thanks!

M.

Look for the actual figure thread (not this, the damage report thread). A few months back, I posted a description of how to replace the foot inside the boot, in a way that doesn't distort the rubber from folding and bending.

Since it's an old figure, it's not posted in frequently, so my post should be fairly near the end of that thread.
