i don't get making a scaled down bat. but i do get the impracticality of the 1/6, unfortunately.

sigh.

This also could have been a marquette (think I spelled that right..yikes) used in the production of the larger version, which would make that photo very tough to showcase all the other prototypes...it also could have been scaled down and or added to fit in the image.

Maquette. You were close!
The 1/6 one was made at 1/6 without a study model. There are pics of it during construction.

They have it there on the table, confirming the earlier statement that they *might* make it in 1/12.
It's possibly still a *might*, but looks a hell of a lot more likely in 1/12 now than it did in 1/6.

The logistics of transporting, housing, distributing, shipping 1/6 The Bat alone would drive me :cuckoo: wouldn't be surprised if HT does make 1/12 Bats.

1/12 is the most economically sound option for both HT and us buyers, but that doesn't mean that the 1/6 version is not going to be made right? A lot of people have put downpayment for it, I'm sure.

Looking forward to your progress!!!!!! :)

Thanks. Work has been hectic this last 12 weeks or so. I am going back to more regular hours in a week or two. Expect progress by then.

Did SS put it up for pre-order?
Do you know of any people who have had to pay deposits for it?

I wish they would at least give fans the option of a 1/6 scale Bat. Perhaps a made-to-order scenario for individual purchasers where they collect the money from serious buyers, or at least a NRD(although down payments may be a more accurate description). They've got the molds, they've got the manpower, and they've successfully made the prototype, now just give the fans a chance.

On a different note... is there a thread that breaks down all the 1/6 goodness in that preview pick? Amongst the usual suspects(TDKR, IM3) I think I see Prometheus, The Rock's character from the new GI JOE movie, Arkham Joker, ED209 and Terminator. I'm really intrigued by the headless black/red cloked figure... Magneto from XMFC perhaps?

I'd be perfectly happy with 1/12 scale. It's going to take a lot to convince my fiance to let me have that (after taking a year to convince her to let me have the Tumbler), so a 1/6 scale is never going to happen for me. My condo is 700 sq ft and I have a child coming in a week, so yeah. 1/12 it is.

I'm conflicted over the size, on one hand yeah a true 1/6 scale version would of been impossible to display but then this smaller version just aint going to look right displayed near any 1/6 scale figures or obviously the Tumbler

I'll probably be giving this a miss and just get the 89 and 66 Batmobile
