I'm aware that the electrode on the end of the saber isn't going to light up but it's not even close. I also tried what Dennis suggested and that didn't work either. I will continue to futz with it until SS gets back to me. Maybe with some luck it will work properly before I have to go through the replacement process.

At least you can be rest assured, this issue will be taken care of one way or another. If you end up replacing it, you'll have to endure the turn around time with SSC. Sometimes it's quick. Sometimes it isn't.
 
I know all about the SS process. This year I had one maybe two pieces come to me with no issues.
 
My won't light up either. I screwed around with it for about an hour but nothing at all. I wish there was some way I could just test the arm to see if it lights up. I don't know if it's the base, figure, or the arm but the saber doesn't look broken.

anyway we can run a wire directly from a battery to the arm to see if the saber will light up? Anyone know if you can do something like this?
 
Been waiting a few weeks for a replacement now. Got an email today that the do not have enough replacements at the moment so I am on a waitlist for a replacement. Guess there were quite a few with issues on this statue.

Soooo, anyone here, awaiting a return / replacement, receive an email from Sideshow's returns department stating they didn't get their full shipment of EX's from China, so you are getting put on a waitlist for a replacement?

I told to clean all the contacts with alcohol and to see if that solves the issue. I will have a go at it tonight and let you guys know.
