Sometimes execution does not overcome the subject matter. Abrams simply didn't do a good enough job to make Star Trek interesting to me. Admirable effort nonetheless.

I watch the new Star Trek and I see all the lens flares popping all over the place and I want to say, "Theatricality and deception, powerful agents to the uninitiated, but we are initiated, aren't we Abrams?"
