Great review man! The Batpod is next Hot Toys figure on my list. Hope it's still available next year at retail.

Thanks man. It truely is a wonderful piece. It looks so real..just shrunken down. I am really impressed with the tires. They look and feel like real tires from a real vehicle. The dirt and weathering on them is spot on as well. If you have the money and space, this is a must.

I got this first and I didn't really like it after a few days. So I was worried about the tumbler. The tumbler was awesome so I think I jus expected something different with this figure...idk I don't miss it

I'd alert ebay and put in a paypal claim ASAP.

Ok, I've sent a message to support at ebay, and paypal, if the seller does not respond to my immediate message about wanting a refund I will put in a claim. Thanks for the help.

Has any renowned futzer given the DX12 + Bat-pod combo a try?

As seen in my video, I have both but haven't attempted to put him on the pod yet. For some reason, I don't want to at the moment. I may attempt it with the DX2 figure first to see how it goes and then maybe try it with the DX12. Ultimately I think I am saving that seat for Catwoman. :)

You know what? Maybe I will. I think the main reason I decided not to is because I spent a lot of time setting it up and posing Batman. I wanted to shoot the review vid showing each item on it's own. I also felt that with the figures hands popping off so easily and the arm handles on the pod popping off easy as well, that it would make for a frustrating time. :lol However, I will give it a go and post pics when done.

Yeah! I'm also worried about that when I get mine.

Good luck mate, I hope it ends well. Who knows, it might even turn out to be a legitimate transaction and you'll get the figure you paid a good price for.

For future reference, my advice would be to only buy from ebay sellers who have a solid rep built on the back of similar transactions. Of course there are quite a few very reputable bricks n' mortar stores that sell online too. You'll get a feel for it soon enough :)

Nice review JB! I like your input and opinions but I especially like when people talk about things like fragility, what to look out for and the downsides in their reviews. That's always really important stuff.

So did yours have any of the QC problems that were talked about?

To guys that owned the first edition: there's a lot of talk about how bad figures sit on the pod and you can't make them look natural. Was it the same way with the first pod? Since this is supposed to be an identical reboot I'm assuming that the original had the same problem, right?

And if anyone is willing to sell their "flying" cape from the original edition, PM me. This plastic thing that they offered with reboot is total horse s__t.

Just ordered mine at a really low price on ebay straight from China.
75 pounds + 35 shipping. Most asking prices on stores are double or triple that amount and the seller has 100% positive score.

I'm sure you can find his shop on ebay.

Got amazing deals going on, just saw a HT Tumbler go for 150 pounds+30something shipping.

My DX-12 Batman is on it's way, and I can't wait for his matching Bat-Pod!

the 150 pounds for tumbler is too good to be true, better be careful mate. my friend had an experience buying fake HT from china.

Thanks man and no I did not have any major QC problems dealing with the Batpod. It does not lean to the left or right. It does stay up straight when displayed but like I said before, the only thing I see is the loose arm handles. Also keep at least one pin in those tires if displayed on a shelf. It does role especially on an uneven surface. With any kind of vibration or movement, that sucker starts to go. :lol

With Batman, the QC issues I noticed was with the cape connectors and the gauntlets interfering with the hands staying on tight. However like I mentioned in the vid, it's not a deal breaker. I don't mind the eye lids or the cowl like so many people are complaining about in that thread. I can't believe that people are going as far as resculpting or painting the eye lids and stuff. Call me crazy, but I think the HS is fine as is. :dunno

I haven't seen a single pic of the DX 12 Batman on the Batpod that looks nice. In fact, it seems like 2 or 3 people tops have tried it. That's pretty much the reason I bought both of them. From the looks and sounds of it though, I'm a bit concerned.

This doesn't look good to me at all,

And I don't think it's that particular collector's doing. It looks like he tried his best to make it look natural on it, which is probably difficult to do with the handle bar parts falling off along with the hands and ****ty arms.

Yea things like the hand and gauntlet thing isn't the worst thing that's ever happened and I don't really see it as a QC issue; we just have to deal with the fact that it's something that we have to futz with. I think the hand peg would have to fit way too tight to prevent that from happening and there would end up being problems when trying to change hands.

There doesn't seem to be any defects that are becoming a pattern which is good.

I have to say I personally think the eye paint mod is a big improvement but you already know that I'm one of those :lol I'm sure there will be plenty of people who will be perfectly happy with it right out of the box

IDK maybe it's me but I don't absolutely hate those. This is the first pic spread I'm seeing of it and from all of the talk, I was expecting much worse.

I would imagine that these two together would be easier to make work than the first BP & DX02. The DX12 is quite a bit more poseable than the DX02. And I hated the idea of the plastic piece as a replacement to the wired cape that came with the 1st BP, but I have to say, I see its potential in these pics.Still would've preferred a wired cape
