The blacker the better.

However, the velvet does have a sheen to it, which is part of the reason why I prefer the rayon capes.

Kind of regret that I bought the velvet version.. I don't like it to be reflective batman suit should all look stealth ..

I'm sure this has been discussed, and please forgive me for not searching the whole thread...

but can anyone suggest a good poseable cape, that is compatible with this figure? I thought about just customizing the cape myself, and sewing in the wire myself...but I'm honestly not sure about the best choice.

Also, will the DX02 Sonar head work with this figure? While I have 13 Hot Toys this will be my first Batman, and my first DX. I wasn't sure whether the DX02 used magnetism like the DX12?

This is ambitious and stunning, Rory. One of the best mods I've ever seen done to a figure. Improves the realism by 100%.

Neutral face plate comparison:

Pretty dramatic difference in shape. Not only is the DX02 face taller, it's also narrower... which makes things tricky...

Okay, I've started in on modifying the DX02 faceplate.

Here's what I got so far:

More needs to come off either the top or the bottom, and I'm not sure which I should do (or both). As you can see in the post above this one, the DX12 upper lip is much more narrow.

What do you all think? I'm off to bed and will finish this in the morning. I hope for lots of input between now and then.

You should take off more plastic from the superior part. As you can see Batman's nose is really close to the upper lips

Here is Wayne head on mms. I think it looks pretty good. His head looks too big on the dx12 body IMO.

Thanks for taking the time to post up this picture, but I was wondering how the DX12 Batman Cowl with the pers looks onthe MMS 71 body.

You could even PM me the photo but i think a couple of guys onhere wanna see it as well. I just gotta know how it looks before I waste $100 ON THE dx12 PERS head alone.

If it looks really dumb then I'll shell out the money for the Whole Fig. $270 in hand at Frank & Sons. He has them in stock....
