I don't think its broken...But it doesn't fit. It's connected stiff on the other side so I really don't know what to think

Well that's disappointing. I figured since the DX 12 was more poseable it'd look more convincing on the pod. That's pretty much the reason I bought the DX 12 in the first place., no way in hell would the DX 02 fit on it (and if it did, that rubber would be shot).

Parred with the crappy cape attachment, these two releases aren't as great as I thought they'd be.

I was so stupid for passing on the original 2008 MMS 71 Batman and the original Batpod. I could have done it too but it was TDK Ledger Joker mania and I cared more about the OC Bats and multiples of Bank Robber and regular Joker. Bad decision in the long run, I should have just bought them. But no, "not accurate enough, the belly sticks out, he looks too thick" etc. Based on pics of the MMS 71 alone I'm sure I'd be quite fond of it, accuracy aside. It's the only figure in the Batman line that I never bought. If I would have just got him in the beginning and the original Batpod, I'd have an ideal rider figure and a better flowing cape attachment, plus a complete line of figures to boot.

Well, I did say...
"I have to admit I immediately thought ‘great’ the first version can now be my dedicated Bat Pod figure… maybe you did too, and if you did I think we made the right decision, as when it comes to getting a natural position on the Pod, the DX doesn’t quite measure up to his earlier incarnation."

In my review for the DX02

As I'm sure you know, he sits on it great-

Mind you, I wouldn't trust anyone that listened to me!

Yeah, I remember reading those way back then. Still not sure why I never pulled the trigger and yet I bought weird figures like Demon Batman and crappy figures like Two-Face and the TF Begins Batman. The box art is better, the cape attachment and extra cape is better and the MMS 71 looks far superior on it than the DX 12. The inaccuracy and paunch belly don't even matter when it's on the pod with the cape flowing.

Damn it.

I guess I'll just have to work with what I got with the new DX 12 and Batpod.

Mine will be going back to SSC. Received my Bat-pod with a crooked front wheel. :gah:

Itry to put the DX12 in the Batpod and looks horrible the same with the DX02 the only one one is the firts TDK looks good in the Batpod...here some old pictures from mi TDK MMS.
:)

Geez. That cape would be all kinds of trouble with a moving wheel like that...
I saw a tv program once where a bride was taken from the church to the reception on a large trike motorbike. Her dress was caught in the propshaft form the gearbox to the rear differential, and the action of it getting pulled tighter and tighter cut her legs off.
I always think of that watching TDK and TDKR, that Batman would be lucky to get five yards without having his neck removed when the cape got caught in the moving wheel....
:)
But cool pics though.

You do realize they actually had a stunt man with a flowing cape ride the bat-pod? :D
It turned out pretty well for them. [right at around 3:07]

Yea, I think the film makers and stunt people all had that same concern when they first started working with the bat-pod. Surprisingly, though, I don't think it was ever an issue.

The Hong Kong backpack was originally designed to be worn on the Bat-pod to keep the cape from getting caught. When they realised that the cape wasn't going to catch they got rid of the backpack and decided to use it in a different scene.

(Sorry, just realised this is probably mentioned in the video posted! The info is also in the Making of... book)

Ok I just got mine and I'm having some trouble with it. Mainly just the right arm guard (the side with the light on the handle). So the handlebar is not attached to the guard like it came on the other side. The other side is attached and this side has a spot where the "T" shape is supposed to connect but it wont stick. I don't know if it's broken. Also the guard won't stay on but the other side is fine.

So does anyone else have a handlebar that isnt attached? Honestly, it doesn't really bother me, and I could just superglue it. The bat-pod has so much to look at that I don't really see the loose handlebar unless I look for it. Should I just glue it? I don't want to if its not supposed to be like that but I suppose if it breaks itll go back to square one. I don't feel like sending it back ssc
