Re: Disney buys Lucasfilm!? Episode 7 in 2015!??!?

Scared and excited all at once.

Verbinksi can direct the hell out of anything. If he has a good writing team, and Disney doesn't force the release date on him like Pirates 2-3.

VERY SCARY ,VERY EXCITING NEWS......ALWAYS EMOTION IS THE FUTURE...HARD TO SEE.......hoping for the best with this NEW BABY......Please take care of them DISNEY.......

About time this was announced. This deal has been rumored on wall street for at least a year.

As for 7, 8 and 9, I've heard Lucas was writing the scripts. He dropped a hint on CNBC in May and I heard rumblings of that at CVI. Guess time will tell.

Well I'm glad to see its already delved down to bickering in this thread :lol

See you guys in 2015 :wave

I don't even really care about an episode 7,8,9 idea...
Waaaay more interested in the ability for film makers to make stand alone different genre films in the Star Wars universe.

I smell a dedicated SW theme park coming soon...

It's too bad they haven't implemented more Marvel stuff into the theme parks. We live near Disneyland and go there often. I was geeked when they bought Marvel because I was envisioning Marvel characters walking around the parks, Marvel themed rides, etc.

I think Universal has some sort of licensing regarding the rides, but so far about all I've seen is a few tee shirts and toys.

He wrote his own scripts a while back but that doesn't mean that will be used. There's a video on Youtube that they posted and he mentioned how much material there is in books and stuff along with his own scripts to pull from.

He wrote scripts for 7-8-9? I don't believe that. Sounds like the same kind of nonsense when Lucas started saying everything was planned from the beginning. A script is a very complicated instrument. I believe he may have notes or a treatment/outline... but I doubt he has a true script. Maybe a kind of Bible guideline to pass on to the new owners.

Innoventions is closing in February to make room for an Iron Man ride.
