I think they did a very good job capturing Hamill with the battle damaged sculpt. 1 out of 2 ain't bad (or really, 2 out of 3 when you consider the Ex. head). I do think PERS is playing some role in that, as Pixletwin pointed out ages ago.
Leather work and the blaster look great too. Can't wait to see this outfit with some good old water treatment and futzing.

That pic I see a good bit of Hamill. As for the belt and blaster, yes, they're awesome. There is a close up of it too. Not sure if someone posted it.
I've never water treated a figure ever.
Once you do, you will find it very useful.
damn man this figure came out looking awesome! paint looks great and that "softnesss" that was talked about doesn't look to be there with this guy. one of the best DX figures thus far for sure.

This is a double-edged sword for me as I'm really happy it's looking so good, but I was looking to get out of the hobby and I was hoping this might be a dud, so I had an excuse. Gosh, if there was only a movie quote to exemplify my feelings. . .

I was thinking of the same thing. I was just going to resculpt the hair piece to be more of his ROTJ hair style so I could still use the PERS.

I don't think it's necessary to re sculpt anything. We all know Rotj Luke is gonna be made one day. We don't know when of course...but c'mon, we know it to be true.
The clean headsculpt is seriously starting to grow on me. When the prototype pictures were first released, I brushed it away, thinking the BD head was the better of the two.
With the first in-hand pictures out, I think I've changed my mind about it...

Common. This piece is pretty good (so far) but it's not even in the same league as Joker, Batman, CR Superman or Sparrow.
Not in head sculpt, not in outfit, not in anything really. I'll give him a couple of bonus points for the light up base and the extra figure but I can hardly see my guests "wowing" at Bespin Luke like they do the above mentioned.
