Not the best pic, but from this angle, really dig the open mouth. love the shape of the cowl as well.

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - BATMAN / BRUCE WAYNE Full Specs &

inaccurate carbon fiber, legs, chest plate, shoulder pads (i know DX12 has them shoulder pads too)... and some poseablility. only thing a medix has over this is the the cowl (to some). DX12 overall is more accurate. better is a different story since that's personal opinion

The Medi version needs some serious modding to be able to beat out the DX12 and even the DX02 in my opinion, modding that a normal person would find very hard to do. Repaints of armor, beltand mouth, widening of the cowl itself, chest area mods, some of which involve taking the figure apart. It was a $200 figure to start with so I personally wouldn't be able to mod this figure, out of damaging it permanently.

I would ask someone who knows what they're doing to mod the Medi for me but at that point, with costs and everything, its already skyrocketed past the price of a DX12. As of now, for what you're paying for and out of the box without modifications, DX12 is still the most accurate IMO.

Again its too bad I still don't see the need for the DX12 to replace my DX2. In a perfect world, I would be able to afford a DX12 without selling my DX2 but sacrifices must be made. And thinking of it that way, the DX12 isn't a worthwhile enough upgrade to the DX2 for me.

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - BATMAN / BRUCE WAYNE Full Specs &

Yep, just like most of HT's figs. In hand they'll look a whole lot better.

For me there's only one HT figure that hasn't shipped out yet that I feel isn't overpriced. Everything else from here on out I think I'm gonna consider wallet molestation.

Is he green?

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - BATMAN / BRUCE WAYNE Full Specs &

Looks pretty damn good to me, not perfect but still a great looking figure.

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - BATMAN / BRUCE WAYNE Full Specs &

Wow -- so are people saying that the DX02 is better than this new release?

Is there a post with the list of problems yet?

Sideshows website is showing back order. What's the chances of actually converting?

trust me I know ALL about modding the hell out of the medi. I did everything possible to that sucker before the thought of Medix combo was establish (to my knowledge). I'm still proud of coming up with the medi chest mod :lol:yess: the only thing I didn't do was replace the carbon fiber but that was b/c I was still a beginner at customizing :lol

I would think (though this is SSF) that most would agree that comparatively as bare unmodded figures, DX12 is the better option...but again that's all up to personal opininon

Again, I feel bad for you guys that don't like it. this everything I wanted in a TDK suit batman (well I would've liked the backpack and maybe sonar head :lol)

Wow -- so are people saying that the DX02 is better than this new release?

yep...DiFab gave us one

The good,

- great gauntlets
- they fixed the bat symbol on the chest
- the body looks great
- armor is executed perfectly
- better neck piece

The meh,

- sticky bomb gun . . . again! (great accessory though, one of my all time favorites)
- Bruce Wayne headsculpt (better than Toy Fairs Begins, their best to date but, eh, how much better?)
- base
- box design

The ugly,

- cowl head
- mouth pieces
- PERS
- accessories
- crappy EMP gun with pathetic LED lights (the glow is weak as hell, nothing like the specs/pics)

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - BATMAN / BRUCE WAYNE Full Specs &

Wait it out. No sense in paying the price of two figures for only one right? You've waited all this time. Why not a couple months more at worst?

Ya, your right...it's logical to wait it out and not pay an extra $100 for have it a couple months early...but then Hot Toys releases one small Batman and everyone goes crazy!

No the DX02 is not better than the DX12. Myself and some others believe the DX12 isn't a worthy upgrade to the DX02. You're paying from a range of $250 - $300 for a new body/armor upgrade. The cowl itself is wider and generally more accurate than the DX02, but the mouth sculpts and PERS seem weirder than the DX02. And unfortunately on Batman, the mouth sculpt and cowl are the most important aspects I believe. It doesn't help that Hot Toys decided to add in the red coloring of inner eye flesh for this one, which IMO creates a bloodshot eye look. Again this is just my opinion and for the first time buyers of Batman, definitely DX12 is the one to have.

Because it's all part of the plan...

That 'neutral' face looks like a smile after all

No two ways about it

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - BATMAN / BRUCE WAYNE Full Specs &

Anyone else think some of the complaints are unwaranted ploys so it doesnt sell out on the the people who are complaining that realy love and want one or 2 of the figure that haven't ordered yet???

LoL well I was never an artsy person to begin with, I can barely cut a straight line through a sheet of paper so when I had the Medi version, I never dreamed of modding that sucker out of sheer fear. :D

And again don't get me wrong, I do feel the DX12 is superior to the DX02 in almost all aspects. Well except the accessories actually. I have no fondness for the EMP gun, an accessory that had about 20 seconds of actual screen time. But besides that, the DX12 does trump the DX02 in everything. But like I said, its the cowl sculpt that throws me off. For me this is the deal breaker right there. I've seen all the pics on Facebook, Ebay even, OMG's and I still don't see any picture where I like the cowl sculpt. Again it just might be me.

Suit looks great. Hands are too big. Gauntlets are too big. Cowl is awful. Faceplates are terrible and don't seem to fit properly. Medi head on this is the way forward.

The mouth plate and eyes on that prototype look completely different to any in hand shot I've seen so far
