Just the opposite actually. Coulson's death was particularly gory when I saw it at the theater. After he died his head fell off and sprouted legs like in The Thing and he started walking off when Fury put a bullet through his eye. Then Fury took the head and threw that on the table in front of the other Avengers instead of Cap's cards.

Just downloaded my 1080p blu rip, can't wait to watch it tonight! (even though I've seen it twice in the theatres :D)

Still going to buy it on blu when it comes out, but this shall hold me over until then :rock

The Blu-Ray rip has been uploaded on the net. Great quality. It should hold me over until the real version is released.

Thanks for the heads up! Piratebay here I go! I can't believe we have to wait until the September 25th to watch the movie in all it's Bluray glory. WE have to wait until the end of September while Brazilians are getting their copies next Wednesday. WTF is up with that?

Man, I hope that's not in the final version of the video release on DVD and Blu-Ray. Did anyone complain about it during it's theatrical run? I don't remember anyone getting upset or thinking it was too much.

Also read a description of the alternate opening to Avengers involving Steve Rogers. Sounds really promising, can't wait to see it.

That would be really, really odd. And dumb, considering it was one of the biggest box office hits of all time. It made over $600 million in the US alone. Why change that 1 shot?

And here I was actually worried they'd cut out the "He's adopted" line considering a stupid outcry actually happened over that one.

I remember reading the uproar about that and was thinking, "Oh please... Lighten up already?!" Seems like no matter what is put in films these days, someone, somewhere always gets offended. :slap

As for offending people.... Look what's going on with the Avengers in Japan.... :monkey1

Apart from seeing the movie again (can't wait!!!!!!) the deleted scenes involving Captain America are really exciting me! I enjoyed Cap's scenes more than any other Avenger (except Hulk) and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of his story

Managed to squeeze in one more Avengers viewing. A drive-in about 60 mi away had a Facebook popular vote for what to show this weekend, and Avengers won hands down.

Perfect temps to be sitting in the convertible with the top down, great picture quality, and they were pumping out a good audio signal that my car audio system was handling better than a theater. Add in more than a few meteors streaking by during the show, and of course a great movie., and altogether a fine evening :)

Sounded like a great time. I wish one of our drive-ins would do the same.
