I was totally serious.
If you have some cash spare i have 20 acres in Florida for you.
Seriously though, it was put across like a real question, and my own flippancy aside, i think it was genuine.
The Bat is a large craft, but it's not actually "high" from bottom to top so, like a beetle, seems to have a karge surface area when viewed from above, but isn't actually as big as some would have us believe.
Based on my own preliminary calculations and sketches for my own 1/6 scratchbuild, i reckon the Bat will have the footprint of Four Tumblers. Two in front and two behind.
And when you see the full size prop, and the Hot Toys teaser pic(On it's stand), you realise this will be quite a managable size.
Kind of...

:slap I wasnt talking about the size of the box, he asked if the picture was real. And obviously its not if you read the writing on the side. :lol

^ well tbh I am worried about the size of the box (even if this one is a fake). I mean if the Bat will be produced in one piece and will not require assembly it will need one hell of a box, especially since you need to take into account the foam that will be all the way around the Bat inside the box.

I surely too hope that HT is not gonna cancel this.

I NEED The Bat in my collection. That thing is just pure awesome !

I think the wires shouldn't be there - I'll need film stills to confirm but it seems to me they were there on one of the 2 fullsize filming versions for wirework etc - and were probably removed in post.

HT just posted on FB that this is going to be revealed at Anicom. Guess the rumors of it's cancellation were just that.

Can't wait to see it.

If you go back and read my post, I was referring to the fact that the guy who posted asking *if the box was real* wasn't kidding in his question.
When I said *i think it's genuine*, I was referring to the honesty of his question.
As in: "I didn't think he was kidding asking if the hugeass box was real".
Obviously anyone who really read the box writing knows its fake. And I had posted my reply to that effect.

My bad. These DC threads move to fast to keep up with sometime :lol

I was surprised to stumble upon it in the Chitarui thread anway. I can't even imagine the size of that table (or maybe its just the floor!) for that pic of all those vehicles. I've seen the Tumbler, 89 Batmobile, and West Batmobile in person at SDCC and they aren't tiny :google

Nice thing about this is that the core body of it is 'hollow.' There is just the driver area and then the rest is pretty thin from there back. So hopefully the price isn't much more than the Batmobiles. There is probably about the same amount of material used, maybe less.

I just ordered the Cammo version, anyone know if it comes with the new cannon?
What is your guess, what is the price point of this "Bat"?

No cannon. As for The Bat, my guess would be about $800-900. It doesn't seem to have as many features as, say, the 89 Batmobile, and thus, I don't think it will get too ridiculous.
