To wet your eyeballs' appetites for more, this just landed at my house today. I really never knew this thing was so big. No pictures have truly conveyed its actual size to me. I don't think these pics even do that properly. This is to the 1/5 statues what a PF is to a 1/6 figure. If I had known this was that big when it first came out, I don't think I would have been so quick to dismiss it just because it's a bust (I don't generally care for busts). This even makes the 18" NECA Alien look small.

I'm stoked to see that the mouth and tongue are separate parts so that I can customize is with an open mouth. The Sano tongue was never meant to be fully seen, so it isn't truly accurate like the NECA tongue, so I will be redetailing it, and elongating it, so I can move it in and out as I choose. I will also be opening the mouth more than it is sculpted so that it always looks more like an attack posture all the time. And I will be opening the tongue mouth as well. It's just too bad the parts from the NECA are too small to transfer over, but they will make great references for the modification process.

Very impressive. I can't wait to scrounge up time to bring this to life.:monkey2

I would be down for that. My one big concern on that though is the material it's made of. That heavy, rubbery plastic wouldn't be ideal for holding non-factory, non-solvent based paint. Handling that heavy thing while painting it would probably rub a lot of the paint off in the process. Resin on the other hand loves paint, especially resin + Army Painter Matte Varnish as a primer and sealer.:yess: You can't scrub that stuff off of resin with a stiff tooth brush and paint thinner.

Not easily anyway.

This was a little weird at first -- made the Marmit look really kinda strange...

This is a forced perspective shot -- the Marmit on the right is approximately 23" tall and the Sano is around 18"-19"

Just to illustrate how the marmit compares to the original statue version roswell....

Here are some pics...

The top lip of my alien has an indentation in it that's rather sharp, so it was either a bubble or a chip before painting...and the 6th spur down on his sternum is gone --- also prior to painting...other than that, it's pristine...the quality is uinbelievable and I can't even express how awesome this thing is....the paint job is very similar to the Special version but all black/grey values - same high quality minus the special colors of Sano-sensei....

The following photos include size comparisons ... Some pics have flash others don't...sorry for the grain...
The first pic is an older one which includes the Marmit, Neca,Tsukuda and XPlussculpt for Sega
