Yes I use a glue gun, the glue is hot and it heats up the plastic. Once its on the plastic bend it and run the armor under cold water to set it.
 
Okay, so here are my thoughts on Boba. Overall he's great, but I do have some issues with him. I'll start with those.

Same as everyone, the vest is terrible out of the box. That clear plastic backing is very springy. My vest was particularly concave, so I tried just pushing the sides down and they would bounce right back up. I started doing the fix this morning before work, and I managed to heat the vest with a hairdryer enough to curve the clear backing, which helped tremendously. I have to work on curving the green armor more, and cutting the edges of the clear backing tonight.

I'm bothered by his waist area. The problem seems to be his codpiece. The top and sides seem to be really really wide, adding what I think is unnecessary bulk to him. The two belts hide it, but it also creates a grand chasm between the top of his underwear/codpiece and the vest where the belts end up falling into. I placed the fatter belt squarely on the codpiece, so it's fairly secure. But the thinner belt with the pockets just kinda hovers there in that chasm, which is annoying because when you're posing him the belt inevitably falls in. It just makes the figure feel a little too fussy, like you have to handle it just so all the time. One more thing about the thick codpiece: once I got the vest off him, I saw how nice and slim the undersuit fits him. The whole figure could have had that nice slim look, but the codpiece with the vest added a good inch to his overall girth.

The Wookie braids were a very easy fix. I didn't even wet them--just twirled the tips with my fingers and pulled them taught. That fixed them.

The jetpack feels a little unsecured hanging from those two buckles. Magnets would have been good.

And I also had a little problem with his left ankle velcro. The velcro seems a bit weak and you really have to press it down to get it to stick.

All minor quibbles, really. Other than that, it's a great figure. The details are fantastic. The paintjob is extraordinary. The finish is luscious. The body is nice and tight. I can't wait to get home tonight and finish up the vest. I left him half dressed before I left and he looked amazing already. I left the head just propped on the ball joint and it does help with his look to have a longer neck. I may leave it that way.

This is definitely a worthy purchase. The mods you do have to make are very easy and make a world of difference. I know you really shouldn't have to do anything at all when you're paying this much, but believe me, the mods are simple and not too invasive. It's not like you have to replace the body, or repaint a face. It's just trimming some excess plastic, and heating and bending some other plastic. What you get in return is priceless!

I have to tell you that just trimming the plastic backer does wonders for the way it looks. I loved the figure before but like it even better with that mod.

The square shape still isn't completely gone by just doing that though. I'll be bending the ab plate this afternoon, then I can sit back and enjoy the figure. Do I need to take of the vest if I'm using a blowdryer, or can I just leave it in? I'm getting tired of taking it on and off and having to screw the back armor piece on and off again.

Congrats on BF's arrival! I know exactly what you're talking about in regards to the area between the bottom of the vest and top of the cod piece. That was one of the things on my list when my Fett goes under the knife for round two this weekend. I'm gonna be more thorough this time and also take pics as I go for the BF mod thread. You can probably do it with it still on but I think it would be best to go ahead and take it off to make sure you get the shape you want. It would be easier to bend it with it off.
