Actually, I hope she did live. That would give them (Ridley) more of a reason to do somthing about the Deacon.
I hope she died to be honest. Charlize easily had the most boring character, and the worst acting of them all. And just finished my third viewing.But what if she livvvveeeedddd....

Yeah, doesn't look like it'll make a significant amount more than its budget (120-130 Million) here in the states. Doubt it'll be a flop all in all, but Fox will definitely take a loss (since their split from Box office sales worldwide after taxes will probably barely cover the budget/promotion costs). Home media sales will probably get them back in the positive, but still, this movie is not looking like it'll be a huge financial success.

In terms of box office numbers; as an example say a film makes $500,000,000 at the world box office; is that based on revenue from tickets sales and how much of that would the studio get?

I was actually thinking about that...
If they do a sequel, wouldn't it be a bit of a hard sell to do a movie with just one human character and a robot's head?
Getting Vickers to survive in a similar fashion to how Shaw made it would give them a little more to work with.

They shouldnt have counted on a sequal anyway. The end of Prometheus should have rolled right into Alien. Hell,the distress call that the Nostromo responds to could have been made by Shaw.

I think that's probably a good thing. Now the series has three good movies and can finally end on a high note. No need to repeat previous mistakes.

I think a sequel would've been good. We could've had a look at how the xenos evolve into the ones we know, and also find out about the engineers. I mean, that was the whole point of this, right? To know who the space jockeys were...

Just finished watching this film. I didn't hate it or love it. I went in with that it was initallly touted as a prequel, then it wasn't, then when it was released it was.
I wasn't keen on the creature designs. Stupid looking ______ with wings, Patrick, and baby whale.
There were 17 people on board. Seven of them just stood around.
Vicker was such a wasted role.
I know there are other ideas far more complex and thoughtout than mine, but I'm a simple man. I left with the impression we were created because they could and we will be killed because they can. We are just a petri dish. Don't try to convince me otherwise, I'm happy in my ignorance.
