LOL i love this! i do LOVE this joker! call me old fashioned i dont care, but im old school and nicholson joker is the best and just awsome! cant wait to get this figure!

I understand your point about lacking in additional items in the pack of the 08 and 09 but I do have to say that I am a little torn.

I agree that for the money, they do carry a fair amount less than others, but I can also see that these are two totally 'blow you away' figures. Just the look and the attitude, the BATMAN figure particularly is just bang-on (but that's probably my personal bias coming into play over The Bat).

I think it's a bit like the argument about face-sculpts where some are OK, some are good, and occasionally some are excellent...I think that this principle applies here also. Any future DX releases will of course all be under that DX banner, but some will have more, and some will bring less.

Is it OK for such a figure set to get by on their icon status alone? Well, HT seemed to think so. And the people that bought them just continue to pose and photo the hell out of them. They were expensive but, QC issues aside as I was luck enough to no have any, I don't regret buying mine. one bit.

yeah, I love these figures too, especially with the awesome Nicholson and Keaton likenesses. Guess I'll just have to follow some other folks and make a custom backdrop. Saw a video on youtube from drakstoys. His collection and custom backdrops are awesome.

Does anyone else think the DX08 Joker and DX09 Batman are the weakest overall collectibles in the DX line? I dont have DX01, 02, or 03, but have the rest that are released so far.

I love the 1989 Batman, and the Joker and Batman figures alone are awesome when compared to the other DX figures alone. But as a complete collectible package, I just feel Hot Toys went a little cheap for the DX08 and DX09.

With DX04, DX05, and DX06, the packages all came with dioramas, costumes, head sculpts, etc. I look at all that came with these 3, and the packages for DX08 and DX09 just feels incomplete in comparison.

For a DX figure to be truly the pinnacle of the Hot Toys range, I think they could've added at least some sort of diorama, particularly for the Batman. I would've loved the usual cardboard diorama with something out of the Batcave. The Joker is just calling out for an additional headsculpt of some sort!!

I just hope with these two recent DX releases, it doesnt pave the way for smaller DX complete packages. The DX07 certainly looks the goods, but man the DX10 looks terrible in terms of a complete package.

You know, you have a point but in all honesty I wanted the figures so much I didn't put too much thought into it. I knew they were a must buy and that was it. Yeah, the Joker should have come with a melty face w/beret and tie and I think that would have evened things out a little more. As for Batman I'm having a hard time thinking of what else he could have come with. Personally, I don't care for cardboard dioramas. I think they look cheap and tacky and don't care if I ever get one with a DX.

I just picked my 2nd hot toys joker head of evil bay for 53 bucks now to custom this evil guy or keep as stock hot toys look .........:yess: there is a couple left still....

Its not always cheaper piecing togethor figure's but all i care is having a 2nd joker and can slowly piece togethor at my own cheap pace........

Got mine yesterday. Such an awesome figure. Only problem is a small rip/hole on the front of the orange shirt (almost like it was stretched really thin in one spot). I'll have to talk to my dealer about that to see if I can get a replacement for the shirt.

The only other thing I'm wondering about, is I can't seem to get the fat suit closed at the back. I ended up putting some tape over the velcro part so that it didn't keep pulling threads off the shirt.

Beautiful pics. How much did you futz? I'm afraid to touch mine... either to find a problem or to never be able to get the clothing to lay crisp again.

As far back as taking the sculpt and tie off. It was the only way to get the material to sit better as it's the same procedure I went with the previous Joker figures.

Just wondering if your guys DX08 box came in good condition and was surrounded in tissue paper?

I got mine today from SS and it had no tissue paper, so there is box rub all around! Also there looks to be "double tape" on top and bottom like it had been opened before.

I checked my DX09 and it has single tape and tissue all around.

Feeling like I may have someones reject.:dunno
