This is definitely something that needs to change. Calling people that work at these companies, idiots or retards because they haven't made the figure you want is the lowest of the low.

Exactly right. And then there's the immature habit of posting stupid gifs that are supposed to be funny in a pathetic attempt to make light of everything, including serious subjects such as this one.

What about:

Whats wrong with GIFs and Memes? Many of them really are funny. Whats wrong with a bit of humour? I've noticed Darklord Dave speak out against them too. If you can't have lightheartedness on a toy forum of all places where else can it be allowed?

Glad I came to this forum to get away from the seriousness of life's crap. Its the silly gif that seem to bring a smile, laugh once in a while.

GIVE ME! GIVE ME!! GIVE ME!!! Noew?

In before the lock! :D

I don't take much notice to Facebook comments on figures but the Avengers line has brought some right retarded new members to the forums. Very frustrating reading through the daily reminders that they like such and such an avenger and can't wait for the next reveal/speculating when that reveal will be

I'm hoping once all the Avengers are out these members will do one

I definitely noticed an upswing in the childish antics that coincided with "Avengers" figure announcements. I think it is pretty smart of HT to leverage the movie to bring in new customers, but I don't think they anticipated the new crowd to be so childish.

First of all, you don't have to give any kid a whooping. Just take away their Xbox and you have their attention. Secondly, I'm sorry but it's the parents fault if a lot of these kids are spoiled. The days of buying a GI Joe $20 action figure for xmas are long gone from the looks of it. Nowadays they expect laptops, phones, iPads, etc. The parents buy this crap for them. If parents would spend quality time with the kids instead of letting the Xbox raise them, it would be much better in this world. Some parents seem to think that if the kid is at home and off the street, but locked in his room 24/7 playing games, that they did a good job raising him and are spending quality time with them. Couldn't be further from the truth. I'm 42 single parent with a 17 year old son and he's the most polite, helpful, and well manored kid you'll ever meet. I get that comment all the time from others. The trick is that I spend as much quality time with him as possible with the right amount of being a parent and a friend. He has to know the boundaries and the differences. The other problem with these entitled kids, is the internet. You can say whatever to whoever without fear of repercussion. /rant over.

Totally agree. I know parents whose idea of childcare is to issue a credit card to their kid. Then they wonder how their child got so spoiled.

:goodpost:

The amount of threads created based on HT Avengers is turning the Marvel section into a one-track mind like the DC Section

People just aren't satisfied with having Hawkeye, Nick Fury, Captain America & Thor with teasers for Loki and Hulk all in the space of two months :slap

I'm not one to join in on such rants... except for this topic. I've been collecting for a long time. It pisses me off to no end when I see these kids with more than half as many figures as me after only having started collecting for 3 or 4 months. And it's not as much that they have acquired them in such a short amount of time, it's the fact that they are so obnoxious about it!

On a [not completely] related note, I'm reminded of this review of Hot Toys' Michael Jackson "Thriller" figure:

Broke in 2 days...not good

2 days in the hands of a 7 year old was actually too long lol :rotfl can't believe it lasted that long

:lol Had my first interaction ever in the commerce section yesterday and snared my first spoiled brat. He put it out there that he wanted a figure, so I got in touch. This is what I got back:

"no thanks i will not pay scalpers price for an item used that new retailed for less than 200. please rear my part before contacting me next time. save Ute both time"

I am worried about his request to 'rear his part' though. It sounds unsavoury.

You're a bit of a spoiled brat yourself. Just look at your behaviour since you've joined. You wonder into threads and, even in the face of protest by established thread contributors, derail them until they're locked or have to be cleaned up by a mod. So yeah, seriously. Some perspective is in order.

Hot Toys needs to show off Bane now.

Don't let others get to you. The world is filled with self entitled people. Annoying messages are best ignored and deleted immediately. Rage is averted that way lol.

Most sensible post I've seen so far.

Have you ever noticed the number of rich in this country who adhere to 'progressive' values?

You mean, get born, get housing, get nutrition, get medicine, get education, get retirement automatically?

EDIT: I forgot self-esteem.

What I'm saying is that the political expression of their psychology is socialist.

I agree. Once they get used to being given everything - they then start to EXPECT everything.

:hi5:

My work is done here.

And can you imagine what their grandparents would have thought watching them beg FDR for handouts? It has worsened exponentially since the days when the contry first turned on itself. Progressively, as it were...

The proper way to deal with this kind of behavior is to gently suggest alternate ways of expressing their feelings, in a manner that shows moderators how helpful and understanding you are of their obvious brain damage. We must be helpful and understanding.

devilof76 out.

I approve this message.

Agreed! But watch out, don't mention that you prefer statues because that's "insulting" and "off-topic" and you're gonna hurt some wittle 1/6 scale feewings.

You collect 1/6 don't you? :dunno

i'm a noob. (started 2007)

to keep balance, i just ignore other bratty noobs (disrespectful infants) as well as some arrogant vets (condescending pricks).
