The Avengers (2012) - 10/10

I could just watch this on infinite repeat...

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Been away for the weekend, but had plenty of time to watch movies:

The Avengers - 10/10
Just as awesome as the first time I saw it.

127 Hours - 7.5/10
A good watch. Not very pleasant, but good!

Machete - 7.5/10

Fun. Crazy, over the top, but fun!

The Source Code - 8.5/10

A really clever and awesome watch! Another great movie by Duncan Jones!

Texas Killing Fields - 7.5/10
A good thriller!

Universal Soldier: Regeneration - 3/10
Not as bad as I feared, but not good.

Hanna - 5/10
Pretty boring. The music was interesting though.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

The Woman - 6/10
...not much I can say about this movie other than wow. Kinda disturbing. A guy finds a "wild woman" in the woods and decides its ok to chain her up in the barn.

I spit on your Grave (remake) - 6/10
Wow...i seen the original when I was young and probably shouldnt have, but I dont think I really understood what I was watching. Now that Im an adult and watched this remake...another tough watch. Reminded me of Irreversible, just hard to watch. Im not easily disturbed, but a movie where the plot revolves around her getting beat and raped then gets revenge is tough.

- How I ended up watching 2 movies where women were treated horribly...I dont know.

Man on the Moon: 7/10

A movie I've meant to see for years, but never seemed to get around to it. A good watch and Jim Carrey did a good job of capturing the feel of Kaufman. I also enjoyed the numerous appearances by people who actually worked with him. Definitely a cool watch.

Iron Man 2(8/10)
Never been that much in to super hero movies, but this was great! I never seen the first one. This was so refreshing, Like I loved the laidback personality of Tony and when he hosted the party wearing the IM costume buhauhauha that was so awesome.
Hammer tech LOL that was pretty funny scene with the ex wife and stuff.

300 (8/10)
I have seen this like 3 times before but after a long unwatched amount of months Lol, I watched it again two days ago and it was as great. I really love the voice and expressions of Leonidas. Spartans, I tried to scream that or say it loud but I just cant get the thickness of the voice and accent (lol). it made me want the Leonidas HT fig even more so I can display it with my Ezio, Perseus and Dastan -- the medieval and mythological section of my HT/SS display.

Alot of people will tell you Iron Man 2 sucks but I personally found it to be pretty good, a bit dragging in the middle when Tony's rediscovering himself or w/e with the model but still fun. You should definately check out the 1st though, its the better of the two.

I like this as well, even saw it in the theatres when I was like 13. It's a pretty good portrayal of Kaufman who was way ahead of the game, both in comedy and wrestling but they focused on the Wrestling a just a tad too long imo. I would have prefered 10 minutes less, the time reallocated to showing time spent with his wife and twoards the end of his life as that portion is incredibly rushed.

Again, everyone with their 9.5 and 10 out of 10 reviews! Man, I am so happy I don't take in the critiques from here. ha!

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Been watching a lot of Asian cinema lately.

Masters of Horror : Imprint : Very strange movie and some quite shocking scenes. Takashi Miike directed it in 2006 , I think it was made for tv. Only on for an hour but manages to squeeze in a very interesting , extremely strange story in that time without anything feeling rushed. It went a little to out there for me though.

6/10.

Alone : Thai horror movie , I think from the writers and director of Shutter which is a good film. This was a good watch , some people seem to say that it's somewhat predictable but I actually didn't see the end coming. Quite a few jump scares.

7/10.

R-Point : Horror set in Vietnam during the war focusing on a group of Korean soldiers. Another interesting watch , quite slow and not much action but kept me entertained enough , some cool moments where you're later realizing certain people weren't even alive from the first time you saw them. :lol

6/10

Tell me Something : Slow but watchable movie about a serial killer , good twist at the end which caught me by surprise.

5.5/10

Memories of Murder One of my favorite Asian movies. My second time watching this and still as brilliant as the first time. A true story based on the police desperately trying to track down a serial killer who has a pattern and doesn't seem to be stopping.

8.5/10

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Batman Begins -- 10/10. Top ten movie, any genre. Not only a top-tier superhero flick, but a top-tier movie. Finally made you give a damn about Bruce Wayne, rather than just waiting around for him to put on the cowl.

Spider-man 2. 9/10. A bit of cheesy dialogue -- "You do love me." "Yeah." "Even though you said you didn't." "Uh huh." And -- the scene with Otto talking about "love". Good grief. All-in-all, a top-tier superhero movie, though. Octavius was a great villain. The train sequence is among the best action sequences in a superhero movie. It'll take quite a bit for The Amazing Spider-man to beat SM2. Possibly my favorite Marvel movie out there -- though there are still a couple I haven't caught up with.
