I don't get all the complaining over threads that someone doesn't like.

Hot Toys, for instance are sold by Sideshow Collectables. What's the problem?

I have yet to get a finger cramp clicking the mouse to skip to the part of the forum I want to go to.

For those who want a It-should-only-have-(insert topic)-threads... Find a forum dedicated to only that topic.

I love to vibe of this site and the variety. I don't have to join 15 forums for collectable because they are all represented here...

Anywho - About this thread. I think newbs may be confused if the Avengers are not in here now. Obviously moving the Avengers to this thread would not work but given that it is based on a person and not a character I can see how this could get muddled down the road.

:lecture:lecture:lecture :exactly::goodpost: Because, despite seeing/having seen it in theatres, people are too stupid to realize it's a movie.

I like being able to come right here for my Whedon fix . . . it is comforting . . . even if it's only once in a while . . .

There can be Avengers threads in both the Marvel & Whedonville sections . . . the discussions within would most likely be very different . . .

This is one of the sections I keep visiting. Doesn't always post... assimilating it into other sections and what I was looking for here will definitely be drowned out by the overabundance of everything else.

I'm never a fan of too much segregation and rigid structure as it makes it difficult to figure out what to post where, but lumping everything together is also undesirable and makes things more difficult to find. Honestly don't see an issue with Whedon having a separate section.

The simple fact that those who use the section are perfectly happy with it should be enough to warrant its presence. If the rest of the board was as happy with the sections they frequent as the Whedon fans are with theirs, this would be a much more peaceful forum.

(And no, Avengers movie-related threads have no place in here. It's a Marvel property long before it's Joss Whedon's, and the HT rabble that would follow on the heels of that move would kill Whedonville.)

Agreed, on both accounts.

:hi5: :1-1:

The idea that an Avengers thread would be in Whedonville because Whedon directed it is pretty funny. I think everyone understands the difference between his own stuff and any mainstream licensed films he may make. :lol

I am kind of surprised there is no The Cabin In The Woods thread in here, though. That's a Mutant Enemy movie through and through and screams "Joss Whedon co-wrote me with Drew Goddard holed up in a hotel over a weekend!!!!"

It does raise an interesting point about the rationale behind a forum dedicated to directors (or a single studio, like Disney). Honestly, besides being Joss projects with his writing style, Buffy and Firefly are pretty different shows.

Yes!!! THis is the only forum i come to when I visit this forum. THis is why I joined the forum in the first place.

I really like being able to come to one place to check out stuff about Firefly and Buffy and the signature shows that Whedon has done. Avengers doesnt need to be in here because Whedon did not create them and make them his own. They are a Marvel Property and should stay in that section.

Great, just what this thread needs... more trolls. :slap :slap :slap

Yes, and some people want to post in every single thread possible so they can have a really insane and high post count.

Weren't you the one that just advocated closing the entire board just because you don't like the direction it has gone in?
