Yup. Just had to buy a new car. Registration this month, first payment in May. I would have had to cancel either this or Joker PF, and that's not happening so Luke would be chopped.

From what I've heard, it sounds like Sideshow does delay the last payment if the release of the figure's pushed back (no direct experience with this, though). Personally, I'd prefer to be paid up anyway, just to get it out of the way, so hoping my last payment goes through as scheduled on May 5th. Guess I could always get them to process it manually if it does get updated.

I'm going to pick up an extra set :) I think this is probably my most anticipated figure of the year.

It should be the SW line is finally gonna get some REAL quality. (overdue)

SS has put out some ok stuff, but nothing like this! My most anticipated figure of the year so far, and i don't see how anything will beat it for me.

None of those were really backdrops except for the Mech Test (in which it was included). All of those figures in the video were placed in front of what were pretty clearly advertisements, and I doubt anyone really thought they were going to be included.

:exactly: stole the words right out of my mouth.

I would be willing to wager that the Bespin Luke will come with a backdrop, even though technically that would be the wrong backdrop to include, since the Weathervane Luke clung to was outside Cloud City and not in the Gantry, which is what that backdrop is...

More appropriate backdrop would be the underbelly of cloud city with an orangish sky and clouds.

Edit: I say this because the backdrop is the same length of the weathervane, so I assume it is intended to be displayed together.

Most recent releases that had a window display backdrop similar to the Luke DX didnt come with the backdrop [supes, bats, jack].

The mech test clearly had two layers of cardboard behind it, not just one big backdrop. Plus the mech test backdrop didnt sport the HT logo

But i'd be very glad if my logic is wrong :D

It'll just be the weather vane and the regular base that Luke comes with, unfortunately.

Still, the weather vane is pretty awesome, thankfully they give us 2 figures with the set so we have multiple display options.

He comes with 2 bases, standard HT base and a bespin carbonite room base (think it lights up) plus the weather vane

A background display for the vane would be too tall anyway and would have to be folded (thus unsightly fold lines).

:exactly:

I don't want a back drop anyway. I never use them.
