This is unacceptable. I demand you send me the Normal version this very instant.

Heh, just kidding... but seriously.

Beautiful!!! The normal and the special are really very similar :)....but I like even the variations....n makes me wanna get even the kit....;)

Wonderful collection of Sano statues.
I must say though, I don't find the paint apps very inspiring. The normal version does look better than the special IMHO.
Looking forward to seeing how you will paint the kit!

Wow! You must have a lot of money! :lol
Amazing pictures and a amazing figure!
The details on it are some of the best I seen on a Alien figure this size.
Medicom Alien is probs second to this!

I agree, normal looks best.

He's not painting the kit, that's the beauty of it!

He's a completist and I respect that. Congrats on the haul, your place now looks like a small Giger Museum :clap

Nice pics! I didn't realize that the normal version's base was also a different color than the special version.

The normal might be closer to how people perceived the creature to look in the film, but in fact the special version is more accurate to how the suit was actually painted. It was deliberately pale so that it would be more receptive to lighting effects.

Thanks to you all guys for your comments :wink1:

Yep I totaly agree with robomorph :exactly: :hi5:

Like I've already said they both look awesome and the difference is hard to percive on pics...!!!!
the difference is more percevable when you stand right in front of them!

here is a picture with the two bases and you can also notice the real differences in the color painting between the two ALIEN version!

The second picture of the actual suit is very desaturated (colorless), but your assessment of the brightness of the paint scheme is right on. It should be more tan and brown in the highlighted areas though. A nice dose of translucent toning effects on the Special Edition might set it just right.

That's the statue, not the suit.
And that also highlights an important difference in color, since the suit was made of a tan rubber and the color would come through as the paint was rubbed off or dissolved from the K-Y jelly used.
